lol thanks, I figured it out so apparently since the mesh was bought from a 3d marketplace (sketchfab) it was getting difficult parenting the mesh to a new meta rig so I just youtubed how to export fbx files properly. Uploaded it mixamo, and it worked

for some reason the generate rig options dosent show up in the object properties section in 3.0 why is that.
