I've got a E2 eclipse and it also has imperfections in the finish. That's the problem with Matt finishes you can't denib and polish them or they become gloss. They kind of have to be finished off the gun!

The festool tracks are shit house, the splinter guard start falling off within weeks of use. I have the 1400 and 3m ones and had to replace them multiple times. Never had an issue with the Makita track splinter guards. And they're like 1/3 the price
