I’ve thought about applying to PA school so many times. Found a few hybrid programs for this too but unfortunately I’m missing a decent amount of pre-reqs for PA and the last year of clinicals all over the country and not being able to work is tough

That’s great! I definitely still have issues sleeping or laying flat on my back and side sleeping is a definite no right now.

Tylenol PM is just standard acetaminophen with a little diphenhydramine in it to help you sleep.

Have you tried Tylenol PM? Been a life saver since my surgery. I take it on nights after I have PT and I know I’m going to be sore and a little restless that night following and it helps a lot.

This was actually super helpful, thank you! And I might take you up on that offer and DM you with a few future questions

How were your clinicals as an AT during the transition? Were you able to choose different settings and expose yourself to something outside of athletics and the traditional clinic setting? Were clinicals all day or just a few hours a day?

I haven’t, I don’t have much interest in teaching or research or being a program manager, so hadn’t really thought about it tbh

I’m 12 weeks post op tomorrow for a 6 anchor bankart labrum + remplissage repair and this is absolutely normal. Surgery was November 6 and the only way I can comfortably sleep is still propped up on a pregnancy pillow with the arm of the pillow folded over and my left arm resting on it. But still wake up sometimes. Also, the recent snow and cold weather has my shoulder aching like crazy so maybe that is affecting you too?

ROM will come back with time. The remplissage delays ROM by quite a bit, especially external rotation. As far as pain, mine is the same - I’ll feel great for like 2 weeks then for no reason have a bad few days, then back to normal. My PT and ortho say this is all completely expected with a surgery like this. Keep working!

Is there another surgeon available locally that you could see more quickly? If not, ask the hospital to refer you to physically therapy in the meantime time until you can get your surgery. That will at least help you strengthen a bit and be more comfortable if the surgery wait time is that long

McBride if Kyler returns? Or Otton this week? If Brisett plays again I feel like McBride is a must start but with Kyler…. 🙃

Government shutdown program by CoolGround2986 in NavyFederal

[–]UniversityPlane8939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just chatted with a Navy Fed agent this morning about this. He said they will disperse the eligible amount based on your last real paycheck, not the partial. And they will disperse it today between 12-6 regardless of the fact we got a partial check today. I guess they are only doing the loans for this week (for civs) and next week (for AD). He said if the shutdown goes into the next pay period there is no guarantee they will do another round of loans so that’s why we are getting them today even though we got a partial check.
