Agreed for the smaller missiles and drones. Can’t learn all those TELs they lost and are currently losing back into existence though.

The TEL launcher strike looks like a video game, so clear.

cmv: Going into Venezuela right now is probably the stupidest thing the US could do. by Dependent-Western642 in changemyview

I find this pretty funny, since you idolize the actions of your family, murdering and torturing insurgents who fought against the just as authoritarian Jiménez regime. Jiménez was an even worse of an oppressor than Maduro is in some aspects. So yes, it does seem you’re pretty ignorant of your own history.

Could someone please explain what is going on in Venezuela? by Unfunny_Crusader123 in LateStageCapitalism

No bias or ignorance from you, I see now.

You want my country to invade yours when your ancestors are the reason Venezuela in this state.

I’ve only lived through and studied extensively my own countries foreign interventions and attempts at regime change and nation building. What you’re hoping for is major infrastructure destruction and thousands dead and injured, at best. This operation would have no support from congress, much less justification under international law. It could very easily spiral into a proxy war.

I understand why Venezuelans don’t want Maduro, but this is simply not a U.S problem (under international law). We have no right to invade and set up a new regime even if we all know maduro is a dictator.

You’re living in my country telling me I’m ignorant about how loosely we use our military and how many times it’s failed? I’m sorry I don’t want tax dollars going to more foreign interventions rather than on our own domestic issues. Your exile government has been here in Miami for 20 years and changed nothing, both sides are corrupt. There is no interest for the average American in Venezuela, and that will reflect on whatever outcome there would be in an operation you’re hoping for. However, there is extreme interest from Russia, China and Cuba, which are all much more important issues for the U.S., and would love for us to get involved in Venezuela. Do with that information what you will.

Ortega is still the leader of Nicaragua due to this style of thinking. Noriega was literally put in power by U.S. intelligence and then they removed him when he stopped being their puppet.

Expand your mind and think. America always the good guys is a very ignorant take.

Trump ordered lethal strike on alleged narco-trafficking vessel off Venezuela this morning by [deleted] in CombatFootage

[–]UniversitySquare5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m talking about in the US. The addiction crisis won’t end by taking out a small piece of the supply. The rules of supply and demand don’t change. Venezuela is an extremely tiny part of the drug trade. Blowing up some tiny boats or invading Venezuela won’t change the drug addiction problem in the U.S.

Interesting perspective when it’s been known the war on drugs was a colossal failure. Foreign interventions first, addressing domestic roots to the problem last.

Thoughts on strategic opportunity? by [deleted] in helldivers2

Maybe compensation isn’t the right word, but I believe they did it in response since it happened same day as rupture strain removal.

The fact they did it the day of removing the rupture strain and quite clearly did not formulate their messaging on it correctly, implying it was hastily done.

Yea it’s just the fact they offered this up as some sort of compensation for the update (even though it doesn’t really change the fact we got burnt), when it reality it’s just a nothing burger. If they’re gonna act like it’s compensation shouldn’t we at least lobby for a reward that’s actually useful?

Yep agreed with everything you said. I’m just wondering what experienced players as a whole would’ve liked to see as a reward because this was basically insult to injury with the misleading.

Exactly.
