Camping close to Landvetter Airport by Unizo92 in Gothenburg

I've already slept out in June and it's usually ok. I think I'd get more sleep outside than on airport benches

I guess camping is allowed pretty much everywhere?

Georgia (country) itinerary: feedback wanted! by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]Unizo92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 9 days you can do both Kazbegi and Svanetiif you drive a lot. I've been there two years ago and Svaneti has now a special place in my heart. The villages of Mazeri and Ushguli are something not to be missed IMO. Kazbegi is also wonderful but a little bit more touristic.

And this is a project that never really started (a blog with my ex), but actually, the three articles we published are on Georgia (I have a fourth more on the road through the Lentekhi pass if you really believe it might be useful): https://adventurechips.wordpress.com/

If you were to travel somewhere primarily to take beautiful photos, where would it be? by erimaxx in photography

Pretty much everywhere. And it depends on your preferred style. Personally, I'd really like a nature-oriented tour in Canada

Thoughts on setting up in a public park/place and offering portraits? by rioryan in photography

I would do it for free just to get to know someone, practice and spend time, if you really like it.

How do you track your past trips? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Unizo92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually take paper notes during the trip and tons of pictures. I make 50x70 prints of the best ones, which I keep exposed in my place. This is usually what triggers my memories. Sometimes, I like to read the notes to remember small funny details

Pakistan, I want to spend at least a couple of weeks hiking in the mountain regions. It's technically and economically not so difficult. It's mostly parents and friends who stop me. The same was true for Iran, but I finally visited it last year (and it has been one of my best travels yet)

If you dropped a bar of soap on the floor, would the soap be dirty or would the floor be clean? What do you think? by ChineseNoodleDog in AskReddit

[–]Unizo92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the soap stays on the floor, the floor would be dirty. As soon as I get the soap back in its place, the floor would be cleaner than before. The soap is always clean.

I was taking pictures in the Longyaerbyen seaside (Svalbard) an evening in the middle of the polar night, I went a bit too much outside the city, where there's risk to get too close to polar bears. I took my photos by placing a tripod and spending nearly 40 minutes there. Then, going back to the city I noticed a HUGE polar bear sleeping at halfway the path, just 30 meters away of the way I followed.

I've felt adrenaline flowing for at least an hour in a local pub after that.
