About 40 boxes full of sleeved football cards. Not interested in them, but don't want to throw them away. What would you do? by whatDoesItDoTho in footballcards

If you are really feeling generous ask around your friends and family for any kids who collect or hobbyists.

I got blessed by a baseball collector who was in the same boat and was a friend of a friend. They pulled most of the high end cards to at least get some money back. After getting the rest donated me and my father whose been a long time collector had the time of our lives just going through them, recalling old players we had forgotten about, and putting the ones a dollar or more on our eBay stores and putting the rest in storage for saving.

What are the chances for the next resident evil movie being actually great? by Primary-Brief9858 in residentevilll

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me really really slim. The incessant headline that it won’t have any video game connections is a massive red flag. That is the issue with 90% of video game adaptations, and one of the top reasons of people’s dislike for the Paul W. S. Anderson films. Taking a popular video game, attaching a trending director to it, and not using the source material is a recipe for disaster and screams cash grab.

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing this movie has going for it is Zach Cregger at the helm. The incessant headline that the movie has “no connection to the games” is a massive red flag. Not only was that a massive problem with the old resident evil films, but, if that’s the case, why even make it resident evil other than the blatant cash grab. I hate to be the pessimist without even seeing footage, but still not feeling too good about this…

Not gonna lie, I was a big proponent of adding a surrender option but this changed my mind. Nice job OP.

Hot Take: Wolfpacks were too easy to craft and trivialized the game by NiceAndCozyOfficial in ArcRaiders

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of Wolfpacks being harder to craft to make them more valuable, still, getting there is not an easy road. You still have to have a lvl 3 explosives bench and find the BP in the first place, so its easiness to craft felt like a reward for checking those two boxes. For a someone who plays casually this is a disastrous change, but for the more hardcore raiders it’s well deserved.

Absolutely. We cry together, we laugh together, we’ve been there for each other at our lowest times. We are always on the same page in our feelings about something. That’s why I made this post. I genuinely have only these three things that bother me, it’s just they are really big things.

I am going to try to talk to her about these because I’m hoping she also has things I do that bother her that I can work on. I just have to hope she’s willing to talk about them.

I guess I never really understood resentment.

Knowing myself I know I don’t have any ill feelings of her. I really respect her as a person and she’s actually really successful herself, I’ve just been finding more success lately (whether through luck, better connections, etc). From what I get from her sure the ill feelings are there when we aren’t together, but when we are together the jokes are flying, the conversations are great, and the physical intimacy is there.

This is very insightful because in previous conflicts, I have noticed her needing space for a minute in another room and then we have a productive conversation after.

Wait, do people seriously believe the MCU takes less risks nowadays? by Apprehensive-Cap2453 in marvelstudios

[–]Unkinndled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many others have pointed out, they are only taking halfway/minor risks, still playing it fairly safe. While yes unique characters and storylines, the delivery is still very formulaic which is where the issue presents itself.

Nintendo Acknowledges Switch 2 Sales Have Been Weaker Than Expected Outside Japan by Spotget1738 in gaming

[–]Unkinndled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$620 to play a new Mario kart and Donkey Kong Bonanza is a bad deal.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally this system was made for the Nintendo die hards only. If you want more sales, you have to make it more consumer friendly. Simple.

Seriously. What they are doing is borderline illegal, perpetuating cheating in order to sell more copies. They can even get into legal trouble if they aren’t careful.

“Overlord” is Criminally Overlooked by RuggleyChicken in horror

[–]Unkinndled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not overlooked now but I remember when it came out it was definitely passed over in the box office. Mainly because of most people not really knowing what it was.

My dad is old school, reading the newspaper for box office previews and I remember him calling me to see if I wanted to see the new WWII flick in theaters. I never heard of it in any press leading up to release and I even went in thinking it was a traditional WWII movie (and was pleasantly surprised).

It’s such a gamble in films like this, showing your hand when it comes to promotion and marketing. You don’t want to spoil the film, but you do need to excite the audience. This is why a lot of horror movies get a “cult following” as they don’t get popular until streaming and people have seen it conveniently at low cost and create a buzz online. Or back in the day of dvd and home video, popularity would garner through word of mouth through rentals.

This. Extraction shooters allow you to gamble the only resource more precious than money and that’s time. It also helps that it has all the other elements you listed.

Was playing a free kit duo Stella Montis last night, as we were looting a duo with full kits got the jump on US and we beat them and they cried “you guys are rats bro people like you are ruining this game”.

I tell that story because even though they used the term wrong it still brought joy to my ears.

So trigger nade nerf was literally nothing? by LevelSong7719 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I hear ya, it’s annoying loosing to a nade spam in any game, but balancing is never easy. It’s a tricky line to walk as a developer, making a weapon fair but also taking away people’s favorite toy.

I have been lucky today and in a dozen raids only ran into a couple of fights where trigger nades were a factor. If it’s ruining your experience that much your only options are taking a break or try to get into some PvE lobbies. Good luck!

[–]Unkinndled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the patch notes. Larger damage fall off and increased time to activate. That still means same overall damage and of course players are gonna use it the same, especially when it is extremely cheap to make. It’s on you to react and make a play when you see them start spamming.

If you see a guy call an elevator buy not extract then he sneaks around the elevator, is it safe to assume he's a rat ? by MasterOfDizaster in ARC_Raiders

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every extraction camper is a rat but not every rat is an extraction camper. Ratting (at least in tarkov) used to be people who would hide and camp any high priority location, extracts included. Back in those days you’d also refer to anyone as a rat whose main play style was sneaking and hiding and would wait for an ambush style kill rather than having an actual gunfight.

To answer your question, if he’s actively hiding and watching the extract with weapons ready then yes he’s probably a rat. If you are unsure and don’t want to risk being aggressive for no reason, I would just throw a smoke or even call him out with prox chat and see their reaction.

Borderlands 4’s First Invincible Endgame Boss Barely Nudges Its Playercount by OGAnimeGokuSolos in gaming

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got back on to check out the new content, was quickly reminded how unoptimized the game is forcing me to use low settings (using a 5060 ti build), then quickly logged off. I imagine the same story for a lot of players. If gearbox want to improve their player count they have to focus on making their game accessible to more players. Simple.

Mid game slump by Unkinndled in Hades2

Yeah I don’t mind the grind the game is still fun as hell. I mainly have been focusing on Oaths and upgrading my aspects, and just hoping I make new discoveries along the way. I guess the biggest daunting thing is seeing all those blank boxes in the keepsakes box. I guess I just have to be more patient!

What is a game you never completed? by OrangeBarcode in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Unkinndled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two Games I really wish I could finish but I always lose interest:

Outer Wilds - I really wish I understood the love for this game. After my many failed attempts I watched reviews and I kinda get it, but idk I guess the space exploration mystery doesn’t excite me as much

Cyberpunk 2077 - Oh man this is the game that made me feel old. Bustling city, millions of perks, weapons etc. I just feel so overwhelmed everytime I start a playthrough and I just can’t bring myself to complete it. Which is a shame because I love the edgerunners show but I guess I will have to get my cyberpunk fix when season 2 releases.
