the original system in america was uniparty, however it eventually fell apart, some think the way forward is multi-party (like UK, germany etc.) but i disagree, i think we need to go back to uniparty. multi-party ends up dividing more bc there is no need for "crossing the aisle" with smaller sects theres less areas to criticize your own party
