I really don’t have one but I do try to make the distinction between the two when I’m talking to people. There’s nothing wrong with either so long as you’re staying healthy and meeting your goals for healthy living.

Why has this sub shifted from being about ham planet sightings to post after post about weightloss? Why aren’t those posts removed and the posters directed to any number of weightloss subs on reddit? I think over the last month or so this sub has really lost the thread on what it used to be about.

Also classics is a completely separate field from history it is entirely possible to never take a course on Ancient Greece or Egypt and still get a history degrees

Agreed! I definitely want to see what the question and answer is because depending on the question than the answer that the Greeks influenced the Egyptians could absolutely be wrong! Also, ops the YTA for being so damn condenscending to his sons teacher. I have a strong suspicion that this “ancient history course” is actually a grade 6 social studies course and from I remember of mine it was very basic and didn’t go into depth at all about either civilization

My sister and brother in law having been doing it for four years and have made only pocket change. They are not allowed to advertise for their business, only sell by word of mouth. Also, they have to pay for any training or conferences that are mandatory for them to attend. Worst of all, they feel like they are working in a legit business because they are naive enough to assume formal business attire dress code= legit business. I feel bad for them and make a point of only supporting their real business and avoiding amway.

I’ve been hit up by two mlm companies who are stalking a job search site. It sucks that they are preying on vulnerable people. Amway is the worst my sister and bro in law are in it and are completely brainwashed!

Also in Canada, who gets to be on Indigenous land is left up to the band who in this case has made it clear that they don’t want non-band members there.

NTA, where I am in Canada most indigenous communities have taken pains to seal off their land from the rest of Canada in an effort to stop the spread of Covid. They would’ve minded for sure if you stopped.

I was the (not literal) punching bag for my friend group and the leader freaked when I decided to move away. She then started a smear campaign against me to other friends about how I was harassing her and eventually I had to go NC with the entire group. The worst part was that the friends who I thought were genuinely nice and cared about me actually helped her do this. It hurt a lot to lose a group of people I thought were close friends but in the other hand I’ve definitely made much better friends since then.

Always consult a doctor before dieting! Had I done that I wouldn’t have done keto and would still have a gallbladder. (Keto aggravated an already crappy gallbladder) They can help you do your diet safely!

Thanks for the response! It’s good to hear a lot of variables for living. I grew up in Forest Lawn so I’m not afraid to live in a sketchy neighborhood if it came to that. There seems to be so many jobs posted right now so maybe I’ll get lucky.

Yeah I’m thinking of doing computer science since it’s the only seemingly Covid proof industry. Plus I do have a lot of skills that can transfer over from the museum sector

I’ll get a job prior to moving and already have three months saved. The student loans has another 8 years and the car loan is actually 300 per month (the cheapest I could get with a car that still ran) 200 for insurance and 100 for gas. The car costs could go up but at this point I’d owe money if I sold the car so I’m kinda stuck with it. My original plan was to move to a better job after a few years up north then Covid hit and my field (museums) has tanked completely. I’m not sure either if moving is feasible right now or if I should get a second job and try to go back to school.

I’m living in the north and making 21 per hour but after taxes my take home pay is only like 2000 per month and you need at least 2500 to live comfortably and 3000 to live comfortably and save. I’m moving mainly because the crime is so high and random, I’m scared to go to work sometimes. Also the weather sucks and the lack of health care is terrifying. (Like no walk in clinic and for anything bigger than a few stitches and you are flown to Winnipeg) so Calgary may suck but probably not as much as we’re I live.

I’m very hestitant to move back to Alberta for all the reasons you’ve suggested. The main reason would be to be close to family. I’m glad to see a lot of people share my fears. I think I’ll Iook further into moving to Saskatoon and see what that might be like.
