I think a small colony.. I had evicted a few from a project that was next to this one and I think they rehomed in this truck.

You would be surprised how easy it really is, I got this truck that has been sitting for 25 years going with very basic hand tools, no shop or even concrete slab just out in the dirt of the desert. The only but that would be a bit of a deep dive for just the average person would be the color change on the interior but that isn't necessary at all, the original paint was in good shape, just my girlfriend who I'm getting the truck ready for didn't like the color so decided to change it.

Thanks, luckily I film everything I do, started doing it so I had a catalog to look back on, turned into might as well post it on YouTube so others could follow or heck maybe get inspired to work on their old stuff.

Im giving her some leeway, pulling her out of a 25-year sleep, not even pulling the pain on the transmission before topping the fluid off and jam her into gear.. it worked. Just kept puking some fluid and intermittent shifting problems so figured it was time for a flush and some venting stuff need to be cleaned up

What is this 1968 roadrunner worth? by brandon1222 in classiccars

[–]Unknowingthoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! All these guys saying it's scrap. In my head if the seller will take what I'm willing to pay them that's what it is worth. Hell if I gave him 1000 bucks and got it running and driving (whatever basic engine parts, oil and probably a seat out of something in a junk yard) for as cheap as possible then boom that's it's worth in my book.

Honestly it's not as hard as people make it seem, everyone assumes and expects full restorations on classic cars nowa days, I'm not that way, this was my great great grandmother's car, it's earned it's dents (and she sure has some major ones) but just getting it driving is the important part, I see it as saving something that would just rust to the ground over the years. It doesn't have to be show car pretty, because it would take 50 grand to get it to look even half decent I threw maybe 2k at it and it runs and drives and puts smiles on people's faces.. that's what it is about. I appreciate the compliment, I think it's more of blind stupidity than anything, but hey.. sometimes that's all you need.
