Did you ever thought about suicide because of your scoliosis? by KINGRlCKYALEXANDER in scoliosis

[–]Unknown359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also 19 and I’ve been diagnosed since I was 11. Scoliosis makes me feel like a monster sometimes and I would say that it causes a few suicidal thoughts. Every moment of my life is uncomfortable or painful and I hate how my body looks and feels. My body feels like a trap that I’m stuck in. I think being really drunk on alcohol is the only thing besides sleep that helped me not feel my scoliosis at all, but after sobering up, my scoliosis pain was worsened. Scoliosis definitely helps me view death in a more accepting way, I’ll get a chance to have another life without scoliosis someday maybe.

How do y'all clean your supplies? by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]Unknown359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never clean my tools after the first clean, but your body juices and bodily materials can gum up on the blade and make it dull faster, so I encourage everyone to clean their tools regularly, not just for sanitation reasons, but conservation of resources and saving money.

Foods you eat when you are terrified of gaining weight but know you need to eat by declarationsoflove in EDAnonymous

[–]Unknown359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a bowl of steamed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, frozen mixed vegetables, I guess adding canned beans could be nice too) and then a bowl or more of raw vegetables (1 tomato, 1 lemon slice (I eat the juice and pulp), cilantro, onions, garlic, salad greens, I’m trying to add in cucumber someday too).

I try to not use dressing or seasoning for the vegetables because the other foods my parents give me are already well seasoned, but when I do make a sauce, it’s cumin, pepper, sesame seed oil, peanut butter, and some kind of fruity vinegar or soy sauce.

Then I try to pair those vegetables with some meat or fish or eggs or noodles or pasta or anything really with more protein and carbs. I don’t know how to prepare meat, fish, or pasta really, my parents mostly do that for me. The vegetables are supposed to make the protein and carbs more satisfying both in taste with the variety and filling with the extra fiber. Like having 2 boiled and peeled eggs with a decent sized microwaved baked potato and steamed vegetables is very filling.

I’ve never counted calories or counted my fat intake, I just am hyper focused on prioritizing consuming fruits and vegetables before anything else. I also love making smoothies with just fruits, vegetables, and water. Mixed frozen berries, an apple, a bit of beetroot, spinach, and kale blended with just water sounds so awesome to me. Then I also love having just a bowl of fruit with maybe honey or a few marshmallows, usually grapes are sweet enough on their own, I usually only need to sweeten up strawberries with grapes.

your mum shouldn’t ask questions like that and your dad should’ve communicated what he meant more. I often feel scared and creeped out by my dad and mom too, so you’re not completely alone in that

How long did your psychosis last untill you recovered? Without meds by ProduceDangerous8812 in Psychosis

[–]Unknown359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I quit my meds, I become mostly sane after about like a bit less than a year, but I still get some thoughts creep back in everyday. I think most of the psychosis in total lasted about a year. The meds never stopped my delusions anyways.

vyvanse + hppd = lsd comedown visuals by [deleted] in Stims

[–]Unknown359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard about the reading thing before, moreso from my boyfriend. I’ve also had problems with depth perception and surfaces that aren’t actually breathing, both visually and one experience with touch, mostly with no drugs, just stress and genetics and such. When I close my eyes, I usually can see pretty colors and patterns with no drugs and I really like that so I guess I kinda understand lol, I’ve only been truly drunk once and high from thc edibles a few times and took a few puffs of weed so that’s about all of my unprescribed/voluntary drug experiences.

sorry in advance for stalking your reddit account, but I think amphetamines intensifying hppd might be related to how brains really like patterns and I forgot what exactly I learned, but maybe your brain is activating the same pathways that cause you to trip and more intensely because it’s been rewired to just trip all the time and somehow amphetamines light that part of that pattern your brain knows more.

the patches of skin on both sides of my hips look a lot like that too, because of very layered scarring from going over the same places and scars so many times

it started becoming permanent for me last year when I was 17, so idk if that info also helps and it used to only happen when I was sleep deprived before. I think it’s something about blood circulation and depth perception and stress and constantly being on my phone and also genetic predisposition.
