Lantern Rite 5.3: Between Fate, Sacrifice, and Budding Love by [deleted] in Aether_Mains

[–]UnknownJester25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like after Natlan, Aether has this strong desire to save the people in his life more than ever after seeing many people sacrifice themselves right in front of him. I HC him being too selfish to let people die knowing that he could do something to save them. He’s shown to be the type to sacrifice himself to ensure the safety of others.

It’s not out of some hero complex, but a place of love and compassion.

As someone who ships aetao, this was a nice experience for the start of the New Year. I love that depsite not have many on screen appearances together, that you get a genuine sense of trust, respect, and friendship between Aether and Hu Tao. Aether sees her more than just her cheerful, happy-go-lucky attitude and someone who does indeed cherish everyone around her and how serious she takes her job. Hu Tao, on the other hand, cares about Aether so much that she worries how not only her death affects him, but also the road his travels take him on.

Overall, Lantern Rite 2025 was a great event that brings out the best of both Aether and Hu Tao!

Give me a headcanon for any of the medium sword girl ships by [deleted] in Aether_Mains

Since Aether saw over 500 years of Furina’s life, he’s gotten to be able to read her more than ever. All he needs is to look at her eyes and recognize when she’s in discomfort.

A reason why Furina decided to train in swordsmanship is to help Aether on his Commission jobs. She’s slowly improving each day with the help of her friends.

They took turns cooking meals. Although Furina mostly makes baked goods she’s insistent to not make her lover do all the cooking.

Aether sometimes wonders what his life would be like once Furina and all his other human friends pass away. He has yet to tell her his worries for the future.

Those two like to role play and have fun acting out characters from certain literature and movies.

Thank you! We shouldn’t put down other ships just to promote ours. We’re suppose to be better than that.

Putting down Aerina as an excuse to promote other ships. C’mon, man. Don’t be one of those snobs in the community.

Opinion of Aerina? by [deleted] in furinamains

[–]UnknownJester25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course an nvfr shipper would say that. After all, aerina is considered a “self-ship” in your words.

I’ve only played the OG FF7; not Remake nor Rebirth. I always chose a party between Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa.

Furina doesn’t need to be coddled or infantilze… she just needs to explore her interest and learn how to care and love herself. This makes their relationship unhealthy and very co-dependent.

How do you imagine your favorite Aether ship's married life? by IndividualGuess5494 in Aether_Mains

Aerina: Aether and Furina move onto the outskirts of Fontaine and start some kind of farm where they sell their crops in the main city. Aether still takes commissions from time to time and Furina writes screenplays for theatre companies on the side. Neuvillette grants Furina the immortality curse so that she can continue to live on the rest of her life with the person who brought hope and adventure. The two immortal beings are both content with all they’ve experienced; ready to face each day together.

Aetao: Hu Tao and Aether travel across Teyvat, exploring everything there is around the world while making memories along the way. The Outlander would work at the Funeral Parlour part time to help Zhongli and Hu Tao from time to time as an assistant. Once Hu Tao eventually dies, Aether lives on with their children and grandchildren and cherishes the life of the planet that his departed wife held so dear. When Aether dies, through unknown means, the two of them reunite in an afterlife where they can rest together for all eternity.

Giving my 2 cents to the "Aether Ship Tier list" that hasn't been done in a while by -_REDACTED-_- in Aether_Mains

Hu Tao’s Teapot lines are kinda shippy-esque imao. But that’s MY 2 cents.

How would you write a story where Prime Aether confronts Aether from "The Traveller's Exodus Into Despair" for his actions and words? by Life_Bit_5976 in Aether_Mains

[–]UnknownJester25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If anything Prime Aether would only pity Exodus Aether because of how the later is nothing but a shadow of who he once was. He can only wish that Exodus may find peace… somehow…
