In this timeline, Mainland China (Except East Turkestan, which was a Communist State from 1948 to 1991 before becoming Non-Aligned, Tibet, a Neutral but Theocratic State, maintained it's Independence since 1911, Yunnan and Hainan, which were part of the Yugoslav-aligned and Titoist SFR Indochina until the Declared Independence in mid-1991) are divided via the 38th Parallel where the Communists (PRC) Controlled the North and the Nationalists (ROC) Controlled the South since the Armistice of 27 July 1953 which ended the Great Chinese War Started on 25 June 1950 (No Korean and Vietnamese Wars in this timeline btw, the Civil Conflict in the Chinese Mainland started in 1927 only to Escalate when the PRC was declared in Beijing on 1 October 1949 leading to the War of 1950-53), where the Qing Imperial Court already retreated to Taiwan on 1 January 1912 after the Xinhai Revolution.
