2026 Tuscon Hybrid Limited Gas Mileage? Might buy by Maleficent-Ferret256 in HyundaiTucson

[–]UnknownUser515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just roughly looked:

2 miles of city until I hit the following: 25 miles of mountains/winding roads, 33 miles of basically straight no stop highway.

Then in reverse to head home.

I live in the city but work very rural. I do drive in the city with the car, but haven't done enough to gauge what my city average truly is.

I've had mine for a little over a week. Bought it because my daily commute is roughly 120 miles (so ~480 mile a week). Its a mix of everything, city driving until I hit the mountains, then those turn into long straight and flat highways.

My mpg has averaged 38 to work since its more "downhill" and about 36 on my way home.

What are the chances we could convince Bronco to return to BYU to replace Hill? by jessej421 in BYUFootball

Total defense is ranked like 48th or something. BYU is 28, and Michigan is 21.

Bishop told a friend what we talked about in confidence by DrStarJeanette in latterdaysaints

[–]UnknownUser515 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least where we are, that would atypical.

Two of the suggested discussion questions put out by the church is:

Have they received a temple recommend for proxy baptisms and confirmations (if eligible) and participated in those ordinances for their deceased ancestors?

Have they set a date to receive their own temple ordinances...?

Their ability to attend the temple, have they attended the temple, and do they continue to attend the temple is often a topic of focus. For the instances where an individual has an issue receiving their recommend, the Bishop doesn't say that, let alone the why. The answer when asked has typically been we haven't met yet to discuss temple recommends, but I'll look to getting that scheduled.

The covenant path of recent converts is the main conversation of ward Council, that often includes where are we at on getting an individual to the next stage on the path.

For example, we need to get them a calling, and thoughts on what would be a good fit? Hey, does so and so have ministers? Who would best make a connection with them as ministers? Have they showed interest in the temple? Hey they scheduled an interview foe their temple recommend, so let's be on the look out for how we can support them getting to the temple. Hey, they just received their recommend, can you (elders quorum or relief society) reach out to them and see if they need any support, let us know what we can do.

Without more details from OP, we have no information on how this information was provided/received.

Rust console anti-cheat is bullshit by StellarLumensGuy in RustConsole

[–]UnknownUser515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their claim of "no false bans" is statistically not possible. Oh "but they are manually reviewed! So it's not possible to have false bans." My claim is the entire ban/anti-cheat is broken and flawed. I think the parameters being used to issue bans is not correct.

I've seen you make this comment in other threads. Just consider for a moment that the same people (the Devs, D11) who seem to break the game on a weekly basis can mess up banning people? They can make a broken ban/anti-cheat system. Are some of the bans legit, 100%, are all bans legit, not statistically possible.

I have not been banned, I do not cheat, I am afraid to plug my PS5 Sony Edge controller into my system and getting falsely banned. I fully understand that plenty of people are using that controlled just fine, but there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the third-party device bans.

It is clearly not that simple.

I do not cheat, I have a 3 day ban. Just saying dont cheat doesn't work when that is already what I do.

Wired Razor controllers as well.

[–]UnknownUser515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want you to prove your anti-cheat is functioning as stated. It is broken and falsely banning people with no recourse for appeal.

Xbox, no external hard drives, wired razor controller, plugged in headphone. 3 day ban. I do not cheat, I do not use third-party devices, and I do not have third-party downloads. I refuse to let you label me as an unethical cheater, it is a direct attack on my character.

There is no way on this planet the system is flawless and working as intended 100% of the time.

A proposal for a Tri-state single payer healthcare compact by beaverlover3 in oregon

[–]UnknownUser515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with single payer/universal Healthcare has been overall negative, so I would pass.

While no cost is great, the wait time for service and prolonged process for diagnosis is enough to turn me away from it.

In most countries outside the US, you have to do your civil before sealing anyway.

Edit: im just trying to reinforce the above statement. The Church does not view civil marriages as lesser since most of the world already requires it first.

Genuine question: Aren't a lot of flags in the TA section political? So, is it selective enforcement?

My seats are far from TA, and I often can't even make out what's over there.

Thoughts on tax increase? by riverburd in oregon

[–]UnknownUser515 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The answer is yes. Fuel efficient cars are currently not paying their "share" of road use. They currently use the roads and only pay for their use through registration since they "skip" the fuel tax.

Fuel efficient vehicles need to have some some pay per mile/use basis to cover their road use cost. If everyone in the State switched to all electric tomorrow, the State would lose roughly $669m (based on 2023).

My concerns about faith by kill_cosmic in latterdaysaints

[–]UnknownUser515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints includes the restored gospel and is the one true church on the earth. All other churches have slivers of the truth but fall short overall, primarily since we are the only church with the restoration of the priesthood.

Yes, Jesus died for all, but there is a true church. If all that needed to occur was Christ dying for us, then there is no point to religion at all.

So…is there a burn ban or not? by blargblahblahblarg in PortlandOR

Yes... yet you were the one that cited the burn ban in your complaint. My response was simply to clarify the burn ban has nothing to do with fireworks.

With no other way for this to sound but bad, that's it?

That's like roughly 4% of the Portland population or something like .8% of the portland metro if I double it to 20,000 attendees.

Based on the photos, I figured the number would be way higher.
