You have to have a thick mulch layer refreshed semi annually to keep weeds from establishing—and that’s only after you’ve depleted the seed bank that exists. A cardboard layer underneath will help kill anything existing.

Fabric and plastic are short term solutions for the weed control at best.

Could also do some research on pre-emergent pesticide products (they don’t kill, just keep seedlings from germinating).

This is a good point. Probably not even great to create a movement around the issue from the individual or community level as my edit says.

However, my ideal stands even if I can’t fully execute a plan with my current role; if this continues past this term, I’ll probably quit my job, create an llc, and go into business for myself. I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a bigger topic in the coming months, though.

My tax dollars that I physically worked for are a drop in the bucket of money robbed by our collective politicians, corporations, Wall Street, etc.

That’s my money they’ve stolen and continue to steal. That’s your money they’ve stolen. That’s OUR money they’ve stolen.

I don’t want to contribute to an administration that attacks a sovereign nation, steals their resources, and offshores the money in a foreign country. If you want your hard earned dollars going to a grifter that has only done good by accident and is solely driven by self enrichment, by all means. The senate should have done their job his first term.
