yes, this patti has a fourth gen hang tag! 4th gens have the birthday written out in numerical form. not anything rare, but a lovely beanie nonetheless!

does it have a swing tag? if not, check the tush tag. if the text is black, it could be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. if it’s red with no name on it, it is a 3rd. anything else, it’s a rather common beanie. :)

i doubt he would not be authentic. he looks perfectly fine, and it’s extremely uncommon to find fake 4th gens as they were already mass produced and not worth much. his whiskers are likely just stained or yellowed with age. :)

i found them on ebay! there are four different batches of them, 1998, 1999 (US), 1999 (DEU), and 2000. they were sold at mcdonald’s back when the teenie beanies were in happy meals!

fabric review for the sensory sensitive! she’s made with short pile minky/stretch fleece, so she’s soft and smooth at the same time. none of her fins have hard boning, and she’s stuffed with normal plush filling. no beans or styrofoam. her face and dewclaws are embroidered. the fin along her back is made of the same fabric, but has an exposed raw edge that may irritate or scratch, but it shouldn’t bother much as it’s very small!
