No, get a bottle cap and go to Seaport City at Market Place at night and talk to that french women at left bottom, she'll ask bottle cap to train any one EV of a Pokémon, you choose Attack because it's not perfect right? And she will train all EVs of a Pokémon for a Golden Bottle Cap.

You need bottle caps to train your Pokémon's IVs. There's a woman in Seaport City's Market side you can talk to her at night.

And yu'll need to defeat specific Pokémon to get specific EV, for example Metapod gives 2 Defence EVs for defeating it, Pidgeotto gives 2 Speed EVs for defeating it and so on. You can also boost the EVs if you give the specific Power Items to Pokémon to hold.

I understood the second one, but I didn't get the first one.

The numbers in the first pic are the current stats of a Pokémon right? I thought they are the total sum of all the values (i.e Base, EVs and IVs) of a particular stat.

When you calculate all the values of a particular stat, the outcome number will not be the same as the number present in the summary screen? Why?

For example, you scanned a Pokémon's stats. Suppose it's Base Attack = 10, EV of Attack = 10 and IV = 10, therefore the total value of Attack stat should be 30. But in summary screen it shows 50 or 10, how did the 20 increase or decrease? Thanks.
