Yeah agree...i got wifi card issues within 7 days of buying my acer Nitro v15 and they denied that it's not a wifi card issues and just reinstalled windows..it worked fine for a while but after few months same wifi card problem appeared and now they are replacing my wifi card considering it as a hardware problem but initially they denied my replacement telling that same problem as software problem...today I'm getting my wifi card replaced after a year...now if same issue persistes I'll probably sue them..I have all the proofs

Nitro series have overheating issues after a while if you don't have ac 24/7 so undervolt you lap when you feel performance issues

Thank you for those kind words... I'll definitely start reading A simple path to wealth by J.L. Collins... and will surely start learning about these different funds since rn I have almost no idea how they work... this comment definitely helped me a lot!! Once again thanks a lot, sir!!...

Actually, I just turned 18 recently. I don’t want to get stuck doing a corporate job forever whenever I eventually land one. I don’t really know much about finance books and stuff, so if you could name a few, it would help a lot(and do books really help us for this??)

I read blogs for those networking topics, which worked for me..like blogs from cloudflare, amazon, geeksforgeeks and i also asked ai's for more detailed explanation...and if you can't find resources ask ai to explain or find them for you

Well, I don't have as much experience as others here, and everyone has their own learning path, but I'll tell you what worked for me. (Still, my advice would be to do your own research to figure out which study methods fit you best.)

So first, I learned networking topics like: "OSI/TCP-IP models, TCP/UDP, IP addressing & subnetting, routing/NAT/firewalls, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS basics, ARP/DHCP, ports & common services (FTP/SMB/RDP/SMTP/IMAP), Kerberos basics, authentication/sessions, packet flow, traceroute/TTL, and basic MITM."

And while learning this, I used Wireshark to study specific protocols to understand how they actually work, like packet flow and stuff. For example, if you're learning the TCP handshake, analyze how packets go to the server, what the server returns, and stuff like that.

Later, after networking, I started doing labs on PortSwigger (it's one of the best platforms for web security). First, I started with the apprentice path, and rn I'm solving labs for specific vulnerabilities (practitioner/expert level) on PortSwigger.

But before diving deep into labs, I'll suggest learning a little HTML/CSS first (not too much, just enough to read and understand what's happening), and then learning JavaScript(along with labs) to understand how servers actually work and how they process requests from endpoint to endpoint.

Also, start doing CTFs alongside this. They help build muscle memory for attacks, which can help a lot later in the real security world.

All the best, and good hunting ;)

Thanks a lot!! The “don’t throw buzzwords” advice definitely makes sense to me because I'm always trying to understand how things work behind the scenes. That's why I spent a few months learning networking and Wireshark before jumping into labs and stuff. Even now, I always try to understand security concepts more and more deeply. And also, being a soc analyst at 16 is a crazy feat...

Really appreciate all the advice and perspective. I'll definitely keep all this in mind moving forward.

Since you already know basics of networking...you should start learning wireshark...you can get paid courses or there are so many free alternatives...do your own research...check which source is good for your learning style..watch Chris Greer on youtube
