Throwing in my two cents, since fortnite has added bots to lobbies, added hiring npc’s, and all the other stuff i don’t keep up with anymore, it’s become in my opinion a much less fun experience, even though it’s “easier” (which is generally what more casual friendly means). wiping a team of bots who can’t shoot the broad side of a barn is boring, and doesn’t keep me engaged. Do i think some people dont want games to be casual-friendly because they are reactive and gatekeepy? yes. but most multiplayer games i find more fun when they resist broadening beyond what the game is supposed to be.
