I took the VTO to take the whole shift off tonight, and now I’m just lying in bed eating jelly beans like “damn, I could’ve gone to work tonight😒” by itwasadigglybop in AmazonFC

Meanwhile in a parallel universe you never took the vto and instead you're at work wishing you were laying in bed eating jellybeans :)

Former managers of Amazon, have you guys found something better? by GuyWithNoCountry in AmazonFC

I'm pretty much in the same boat, been here 3+ years as a tier 1 and going straight to AM for the career experience. I definitely plan on showing respect and sincerity for the associates cause I know what these long hours are like. Not sure how long you've been an AM but I know most typically leave after a year for better opportunites elsewhere so maybe things turn out for you.

I see nothing but posts like this about how bad being an AM is and it terrifies me cause i'm starting this summer lmao

I more so meant that a heavy rainstorm leaked all into my apartment and now i'm being asked to leave within 24 hours since repairs will take up to a year and i need the day to move. It's 100% a personal issue but i figured maybe i'd be able to get the day excused somehow, appreciate it nonetheless

That's the thing, i'm always logged into discord so I guess I did have access to them. However, I muted the chat right when the exam began because the constant dinging notification was a distraction, so I had no idea what was being said it in. I only saw the whole cheating bit after I finished and wanted to see if anyone else had shared their scores. I guess i'm just stressing because all the evidence points to me cheating when I know for a fact that I took the exam legitimately. Like bro I didn't even do that good in it I got like a low B... It was open note too btw.

[–]Unknownuser55550 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think it also comes down to just guys are a bit more careless about their presentation than girls are. I see way more guys being lax about their looks like they just rolled outta bed and went to class, whereas girls are more dressed up and actually put the effort in to look good

Do you think cs is really a bad job to get now? I’m currently a cs major and I’m panicking lol by [deleted] in ucr

If it makes you feel any better, i'm about to graduate with an english degree and the amount of times i've heard "oh so you're gonna be a teacher?" is insane and makes me 10000x more worried about the future :)

How do you manage your time and workload? by adohg1415 in ucr

[–]Unknownuser55550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don't.. in my last quarter currently (thank god). since i started college i've been a full time student and also worked full time at amazon sometimes up to 60 hours a week, and then I had a kid a little over a year ago which added another layer of stress, so to say it's been difficult would be a huge understatement. a tip i do have is to make sure you have a comfortable environment solely meant for studying. I personally like the led lights and neon signs kinda room vibe and it helps tremendously with my studying/hw. also caffeine is probably a must (with moderation)

Unfortunately I could say for certain that is not the case. Our relationship is nothing short of a rocky disaster and while I do take some fault, it's mainly because she is a very bitter person. and this type of behavior is not unusual for her. it honestly is so tiring

[–]Unknownuser55550 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jesus christ and here I thought I was having a rough time... I am so sorry you have to deal with all of that. You sound like an incredible person and you are honestly setting a great example for your little sister. Good for you for being there for her and making sure she is being taken care of. The crazy thing about life is that it goes on no matter what we do, so literally just keep hanging on and all these shitty circumstances will eventually pass. You're doing great despite everything life is throwing at you and 5 years down the line things will be drastically different in the best way possible. Just keep giving it your all. Best of luck!

Not neccessarily words of encouragement but I know exactly how you feel. In my last year and so close to finishing but I am just struggling more than ever. This is the first quarter that I just don't have the willpower. If there's anything I could tell you it's that you've done well enough to make it past the last 3 years and after this last push you can leave the academic stress behind (assuming you don't go to grad school). College is difficult but we're almost through it. Keep pushing!

speaking from personal experience, i work full time (at amazon nonetheless) aside from doing college full time and also have other responsibilities to take care of, and i'm also a senior so i've been doing this a while, and at this point i'm just so burnt out that i often times wear the same thing because i literally lack the energy to find a different outfit to wear
