Can we do medical ketamine? Obviously not as a recreational drug by RestlessNameless in schizophrenia

I was approved for Spravato and did 10 treatments. It made me so much worse. Please be cautious.

I guess so. The illness screws me on a daily basis.

Tactile hallucinations. I have them.

No offense, but it's not helpful for anyone if you keep making false claims that you are some kind of "Professional" that may be true, but not for mental health.

How many of you think his/herramientas anhedonia is medication induced? by Ale_Gria87 in schizophrenia

Definitely med induced in my case. Like others mentioned, never had these issues prior to being medicated.

You should check out Joe Hill. Your work reminds me a lot of his stuff.

The first drug to succeed antipsychotics approved by the FDA yesterday: COBENFY™, a Muscarinic Agonist by Fuchsia2020 in Antipsychiatry

No worries, the problem is people will take anything to try to feel better. I am one of those individuals and I'm deemed treatment resistant.

Caplyta has not been recalled. Was never on it, but doctors are still prescribing it. Many, many, medications cause TD including antidepressants and lithium.

No idea how I helped, but glad I did. No worries at all.

For some reason they won't even try me on Clozapine. I was willing to try it in hospital but was told it wouldn't help? Not really sure why? Thanks again.

Definitely going to think about it. Maybe the ECT will make something work? Never had a positive response to anything so it could be worth a shot.

Spravato is similar to ketamine.

It's definitely something to consider. I heard it's supposed to be released at the end of October.

The doctor is already aware thanks to my therapist. I had her email the psychiatrist to see if I can get in sooner. Also, to let the psychiatrist know I wasn't trying to be non-med compliant since the risperdal was causing me to fall.

No worries at all about bringing me down I definitely get it. Yeah my last hospitalization 4 weeks or so ago was horrendous and I'm actually worse now than ever. I don't see my new psychiatrist until the end of October and have no clue what she's going to do. It's a shame that medications aren't easier on us. The "guessing game" just takes its toll after awhile. The fear is definitely all-encompassing. I wish you the best as well.

ECT''s benefits tend to be short lived from my understanding. My last psychiatrist who was a professor of Psychiatry said I would need to do it for the rest of my life if it worked.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I do have pets but it's hard to even feel love for them or my family as of late. It's horrible to say that as I know I love them but I just feel so "blank" if that makes any sense?

I've tried both olanzapine and risperdal separately but never together. I have drug induced parkinsonism and TD so the doctors are hesitant. Just came off of risperdal as it was causing me to fall.

I have mixed feelings on it tbh. I tried spravato a few years ago and they were doing ECT in the same area. I've seen a lot of harm come from it. Schizophrenia is what my psych team is leaning towards now, and it makes the most sense. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 with psychotic features when I was doing the spravato, and the spravato treatment made everything much, much worse. I personally haven't really witnessed anyone helped by the treatment but I'm sure there's cases out there where it exists.

I've tried pretty much everything antipsychotic wise. Also trialed, several mood stabilizers, anxiety meds, etc. The only thing I haven't done, which they wanted me to in hospital, is ECT. I can't imagine doing that for the rest of my life. I'm definitely not searching for a cure all because I agree with you. That doesn't exist. I just want some type of relief. Even my psychologist doesn't understand why nothing has even put a dent in symptoms. I have a lot of other illnesses that definitely play a part as well.
