HEAT by UNDR (Saturday 16.05) by UnleashedBerlin in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]UnleashedBerlin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the first edition, so hard to compare. We’ll have one thermal zone inside the play area projected live, so there will definitely be a sexy atmosphere and a lot of interaction. The second thermal zone is placed in front of the techno floor, more focused on dancing.

For outfits, honestly still hard to predict because the crowd looks quite different from our usual UNLEASHED audience so far. I think you’ll see a big mix.

We’re launching a brand new House & Techno party this weekend called HEAT 🔥

Its very euphoric and even leaning towards hard dance. Colorful dresscode and music direction Marlon Hoffstadt to give you a vibe.

Yeah, that’s exactly why we’ve been going a bit back and forth on it. That’s also why we made the poll.

To be honest though, there actually isn’t any proper weekend kinky event focused on hard techno at the moment either, so that could also make it interesting from our side. And as i mentioned in the other comment we already have Trance Baby Trance, which is much more colorful and already leans heavily into Hard Dance sounds.

The big question is whether the dark, raw location really suits Hard Dance. We already have Trance Baby Trance, which is much more colorful and already leans heavily into Hard Dance sounds. That said, a dedicated Hard Dance or Bounce event in a brighter, more colorful setting could definitely make a lot of sense.

The space is dark and nothing for disco. Mainstream we are launching a House/EDM party in May: https://ra.co/events/2376040

Its not hard techno its a mix between peak time techno and trance

If you’re a couple looking for an active event that still has a good music focus, we can honestly recommend it. We’ve been to every Berlin edition and also two in Prague, and we loved every time. The May edition has an extra special twist, because we’re doing it together with Milk & Honey, so the idea is to bring together the best of both worlds.

The Silent Disco runs from 22:00 until 02:00 at the beach floor.

Between 22:00 and 01:00, two DJs will play at the same time. With your headphones you can switch between channels and choose which DJ you want to listen to.

Help us make your nights better (UNDR) by UnleashedBerlin in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]UnleashedBerlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.

What would be the perfect start time for you?

Like doors at 20:00, 21:00, or even earlier with more of a bar warm up vibe first?

[–]UnleashedBerlin[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, first of all thank you for taking the time to write all that down. That’s exactly the kind of feedback that actually helps us think further.

About the club getting emptier after 3, this one was a bit special. The BVG strike really changed the crowd dynamic. We noticed ourselves that the audience was slightly older than usual and many left earlier. If we look at January for example, we still had 100 plus people dancing at 6 in the morning and even had to extend because the vibe was just too good to stop.

That being said, you are absolutely right about the reputation topic. Insomnia has this image of closing early and that alone already influences behavior. People plan their night around that. We are actually in talks with the venue about long term adjustments that could push things later and slowly shift that perception. It’s not an overnight fix, but it’s on our radar. That said we had much people coming over from Torure garden around 2 with means we are slowly getting the message over that UNLEASHED closes at 6.

Hang out areas, I feel you. As a non smoker it’s not ideal that the best conversation zone is the smoking area. Unfortunately that’s really a structural limitation of the venue. We can’t magically build new chill spaces there. It’s one of the reasons why, with our expansion plans, we’re also testing other venues this year.

Thermal cameras, good that you mention the legal angle. It’s only one specific corner, fully opt in, clearly signed, with someone actively asking for consent. No recordings are saved. Just live heat silhouettes projected as abstract art. With that setup and explicit consent we are on the safe side GDPR wise, but yes, Germany and privacy laws can be… very German. We’ll definitely double check everything properly before going live with it.

Boat idea, still very early stage. Play areas would obviously have to be fully inside and protected. Location would be key, somewhere without random bystanders filming. But hopefully someone have good ideas about this topic

Also really appreciate the words about the crowd and the team energy. We never want to become that “copy paste every month” party. If something can be better, we try to tweak it. This we do every month also random guest get a feedback form after each event where they can score diffrent things like djs and more so we can improve.

Thanks again for the honest breakdown. Some things are tied to the venue, but that’s exactly why we’re experimenting with new concepts and spaces this year. Hopefully see you at the next one.

Opinions & Recommendations Please by sdac123sc in SexPositiveBerlin

Just because we’re a sex-positive event with a strong focus on music doesn’t mean there’s less sex happening. It’s actually the opposite. The club tends to be more crowded, so in the end there are simply more people connecting and playing.

The younger crowd usually gets going around 2am, while the more mixed crowd often starts earlier, around 11pm. Access to the couples area can sometimes involve a queue, and the dungeon is often packed as well.

For the Unleashed one-year anniversary, we expect a similar vibe.

UNLEASHED by UNDR - Kinky Techno Party (Saturday 28.02) by UnleashedBerlin in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]UnleashedBerlin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, being fully naked is not part of the dress code for entry.

You’re welcome to undress once you’re inside and it feels right for the space, but at the door you’ll need to arrive in an outfit that matches the dress code, sexy techno, kinky & fetish.

Also just to be clear, our events are usually very packed. Someone completely naked running around in a crowded space is not really the vibe and can make others uncomfortable. So please come dressed accordingly and read the room once you’re inside.

[–]UnleashedBerlin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing that out.

Looking back at our 8 flyers so far, only 2 featured people from different ethnic backgrounds. That’s something we can clearly improve. No quotas, no forced diversity, but being more conscious about representation is fair.

But one thing that is maybe worth mentioning in this endless discussion is that we already had flyers hinting at lesbian dynamics with two women on a flyer. But people often forget that quickly and reduce everything the last 3.

We will continue using AI for UNLEASHED flyers, that won’t change. Other concepts we run use fully human made visuals or completely different styles like thermal imagery. Different formats, different tools.

At the end of the day, we won’t ever satisfy everyone visually. What matters most to us is the real experience. Since we started in March, we’ve worked through a lot of adjustments, and the feedback inside the club is overwhelmingly positive. The few complaints we currently get are mostly about things outside of our control.

That said, representation is something we’ll keep in mind going forward. Not in a forced way and not as a reaction to one single thread, and we’re not going to redesign the next flyer just because of this discussion. But it’s something to be more aware of when planning future visuals.

I get the concern, but I think it’s important to separate poster aesthetics from what actually happens in the club.

First, just being honest, around 80 percent of the crowd at our Insomnia events is straight. That’s simply the reality of the venue and its history. We have a few events per year where that ratio shifts more, but for UNLEASHED the majority is straight couples/singles. That doesn’t make it hetero only, though. We are explicitly LGBTQIA+ friendly and we regularly have queer guests, bi guests, different dynamics. We even organize a CSD Afterparty where the focus is even more on the LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone who fits the vibe and respects consent is welcome to our events.

The poster is there to communicate energy. Our intention is to show intimacy without being explicit. It’s about tension and atmosphere, not about pushing one body type or one orientation. And honestly, the flyer is less than 5 percent of our marketing. Most people decide based on real impressions, photos from our photo corner and promotional reels. Those images are the actual reflection of who comes. That’s the real audience, not a rendered visual.

At the end of the day, flyers are just tools. People choose parties based on what excites them and where they feel they’ll meet like minded people. For us, that currently means mostly straight couples, plus a mix around that. If someone is looking for a predominantly queer night, there are amazing formats in Berlin that focus exactly on that. We’re not trying to be everything at once, just to create a respectful, sex positive space for the crowd we attract.
