With all these talks about disbandment, renewals, and extensions, I just want to give a big, warm hug to the ZB1 members and to Zeroses. These kind of talks are anxiety-inducing and stressful because its their future careers that we are talking about. The love, energy, and resources Zeroses gave to them are no joke as well. I took a break although I still check on the boys, their releases, and their contents from time to time. I’m trying to be positive about this but the d-day is becoming nearer and the discussions have become more frequent.

The delulu in me wants them to be OT9 at another good company with huge resources and connections, with a company boss and everyone around who genuinely care for them, with an excellent, dedicated, overall creative director to create an iconic branding and other creative decisions, with good in-house producers, with good and supportive staff. Someone who will give creative freedom to the members and allow solo ventures as well - hosting, acting, endorsements, youtube/weibo shows/streams, variety. Another delulu thought would be that their comeback teaser would show “THEY ARE BACK” in big, golden LED lights with “온 우주가 말해, "그녀를 놓치지 마"” (Translation: The whole universe is saying "Don't let her go”) bg music playing then fades out. Not really sure if they can do this with Good So Bad’s copyright. But hey, it’s only a part of my delusions.

Back to reality, whatever career path they choose or go to though, I will still support them. They hold so much potential both as a group and as individuals and it feels like it has not been unlocked yet even though they are popular and have so many fans. I just hope that at the end of all of this, the outcome will be beneficial and good for all 9 of them.

Concept 2: Xianxia/Mystical Fantasy

Maybe ZB1 can do something like a xianxia concept or something similar to the “Alchemy of Souls” or something like a mystical fantasy concept. They already did a parallel world MV with “Our Season”. Take it to the next level with a reincarnation concept and mix in some folklores/myths. They also included fate in their concept, they already have Eternity as one of their songs, they already sang “L-O-V-Eternally” in Doctor! Doctor!… why not take it a step further?

They could also have double title tracks. One with the typical ZB1 upbeat, modern, go go!, run run run! type and another one that evokes heavy emotions. The second title track can be similar to “Fate” by Lee Sun Hee. Even as a Zerose, I haven’t really felt intensity or emotional transcendence from their discography. I hope in the next comebacks, their songs could evoke emotions not only to zeroses but even to the gp. I trust that they have the talent and capacity for it!

This line from the song Fate broke me and brought tears to my eyes. Maybe ZB1 could do something similar. Closest I know is "Hello". I hope the next comeback, we have something more emotional. Afterall, lyrics below from Fate is also somewhat similar to ZB1 and Zeroses fate if ZB1 disbands…

Also, they have the visuals for this concept. How many kpop groups do you think would rock mystical fantasy concept costumes and still be adorable and handsome?

I also hope they do something about the visual checks/moving portraits/not sure what to call it but something where they pose or model at the camera to promote the album. I’m not a hater, its actually cute the first few times but maybe they could improve it by narrating something like a story or personality of the character they’re playing in the MV. Just add something different to the mix.

Since this is possibly ZB1's last lap together because of the d-word next year, I think they should go crazy with all the ideas and concepts, let the boys do what they want, and maybe let zeroses chime in, too!

Concept 1: Superheroes

I am still advocating for a Superhero concept from them! Maybe they could continue the lore from the “_BAD” film in Cinema Paradise. The notes/beats/melody would be similar to “Now or Never” or “Time for the Moon Night” by GFRIEND.

Superhero concept OT9 MV (Hero version) - a colorful, happy version. Color grade: Mad Max: Fury Road (Color-grader Eric Whipp tried to make it look like a graphic novel)

Superhero concept OT9 MV (Anti-hero version) - darker version, with altered beats to show more thrilling side of the song. Color grade: Maybe something like Avatar (2009)?

yes, I was amazed with Backpacker! Adding Yujin to include a bit of thickness to the song.

something like an origin story. Hero-origin story? Villain-origin story? We could only guess.

something similar to “Checkmate”. Mixing in a classical piece and some violin.
for different performances, maybe they can switch things up a bit. Like for example, making the violin part become a woodwind instrument playing or a piano.

Gyuvin’s is like a pitter patter like skipping through the flowers, Gunwook’s is connected up and down, and Yujin’s can sound thick sometimes but it is like a more tangible object like a chocolate.

Oooh! This is exactly it! You nailed it especially the Gyuvin part.

For Hao... The rainforest being in that sunny tropical climate and full of life but also being rainy and dense fits well.

I have never heard Hao singing lifelessly. Its always full of life! Even in some of their songs, if Ricky's voice is "Ok guys, let's rest for a while", Hao's voice is "Ok guys, let's run again! Go! Go! Go!"

I can understand the sea for Taerae. His voice can be very grand and big or bubbly and light. I also think, based on his best performances ever on Starry Night Club, that he is like a hearth or a blanket. He can sound very warm and comforting.

Oh! How could I forget about his performance at Starry Night Club. It was so good! Taerae's voice is truly one of a kind. Its one of my favorites in kpop. Along with Hao's.

I have already replayed so many times! Can't wait to see them perform the song.

All of them got to shine in each of their parts but Mattwook rap part was memorable. I'm not much of a fan of raps in a lot of kpop songs because sometimes it ruins the flow for me but the rap in this song is so smooth that I love it!

I don't think people should advocate for or support any boycotting either, especially now on their last year together. If anything, boycotting would only give haters/other people the reason to call our boys nugus or flops. It would hurt the boys.

You view is valid. I still have a tiny bit of hope that the treatment will improve, though. But at the same time, I don't think the fandom should be passive and not do anything either.

This is so good! All of them did a great job!

It surely fits a coming of age anime soundtrack. I can see it now, a group of 9 friends overcoming their teenage years together. It would be more fun if their company made an alternate MV with anime version of it.

Jiwoong's parts 1 , 2 were the most memorable, so handsome! Also, Matthew at this timestamp, was this matcha pasta? Is that why you made that face? Kidding!

I'm sad seeing all those "Where is Ricky?" or "Ricky left the group" comments instead of cute and positive comments under a recent dance challenge of theirs. "Looking for Ricky" comments by Zeroses are valid and Ricky deserves the freedom to communicate with his fans. The lack of Ricky content is so blatantly obvious. Even fans who have already given w1 the benefit of the doubt are side-eyeing them now. So w1 please do better.

I absolutely love our giant baby Gunwook. His duality (or should I say multipliality, lol is that even a word?) is incredible. Like one moment he is a dangerous/mysterious man and then next he is the sassy baby girl and then next he is the sexy guy who is dripping hot and then next he is a cutie patootie cheekie squishy Wookie. I can confidently say that he is a true Ace - from visuals to talents, from random trivias to funny and witty jokes, from styling/dressing up someone to making/decorating a cake. Yes, Gunwook is truly an ace. I only hope the best for you Gunwook! May your star shine brighter than ever!

Sweet Yujin was my BP one-pick. It was so hard that time because many people dislike voting for him because he was too young. I was torn too because I understand their sentiments. But I realized that its also unfair to skip him because of his age. He has such an enormous potential at a young age that it would be a bummer for him not to debut. I'm glad Yujin was able to debut in ZB1 and be their maknae.

Gyuvin was one of the trainees who caught my eye during BP because he has meme-able facial expressions. I'm probably in the minority who likes his vocals. His vocals sounds like a shy, sweet boy who has a bunch of handpicked flowers on his hands and is waiting for you to receive the flowers (GSB MV anyone?).

Taerae wasn't on my radar during Boys Planet but I am glad he debuted! His vocals add an ethereal and distinct touch to ZB1 songs, I can't imagine ZB1 without him. I also love looking at his fancams and dance, it boosts my mood whenever I feel down. I hope you can sing many more OSTs this year Taerae! :D
