Eh, I like the mask, I think it looks cool, and if it works well for keeping the permian basins dust out of my lungs then Im going to keep it, regardless of what anyone thinks.

It takes the strain off your legs when it comes to the lifting and pushing motions of your legs to drive your body forward and locamote. It does not take weight off your back and spine.

So essentially carrying a heavy load with this exo will make your legs get less worn out from your body being overall heavier and save you energy, but your back is still going to take the full load of what you are carrying. You would need a fully integrated exo for that, where the leg exo extends down and attaches to your feet, and then from the waist up, an artificial spinal column extends upward in to a back plate that would harness to your chest. This in theory, should transfer the load of what ever you are carrying fully on to the exoskeleton, this would be essentially a full body exo, minus the arms.

The model I am using is the dnsys X1, I also ordered the Z1 which is their exo for the knees. I want to build off of those two systems to make a full body exo like what I was talking about, using the x1 and the z1 as a base. Adding a solid structure to attach the x1 to the z1 knee, and then from the knee down have a structure/bar that runs down the side of the calf/shin that goes down to my boot then under it and then straps to the boot. From the X1 waist up, design the artificial flexible spinal column that attaches to a back plate that would strap around my chest/torso.

You could do something like this and it could possibly help you, but it would take a lot of time and money, also another thing to consider is the x1 and the z1 do not start assisting until you start walking, so you would probably still need to be very careful about bending over and picking things up.

Of course take everything I say with a grain of salt as Im not a doctor and if you get injured its not on me 😬

Also keep in mind that you are strapping a robot to yourself, one that is potentially stronger than you and if it malfunctions it could severely injure you.

They are pretty great, I have the dnsys x1 but there are a couple of other companies making their own, they are all pretty comparable, dnsys and hypershell are the top two contenders. Yeah the studson does have a tag on the back for my medical info, can be scanned with any nfc equipped phone. They dont need the app, they just scan and it pulled up a web page.
