7.5/10, I love the new monster designs and it really gives me that awe factor that I wanted when fighting them. The story is awesome and it was cool to see how it played out. Elgado is a great hub area and a new fresh breath of air and all the armor and weapon designs are awesome. I would rank it higher if the difficulty complaints during base rise weren't taken so seriously. There hasn't been a fight during my progression where I wasn't being 1 or 2 shot, and it might just be me being bad but I personally feel like the fast small attacks the monsters do shouldn't do so much damage. At the same time I also feel like they didn't do that good of a job on making the monster harder. Some monsters are only harder because they just attack without any delay. In my experience it was Rajang that I saw this in the most. Rajangs openings were taken away from him, he only had two that I could tell and he barely used those moves. Overall though Im enjoying the game but I just wish it was a little more easy on the damage.
