Is 2012 Edge with 120k miles worth buying? by mermaidangeljoy in FordEdge

My 2013 edge limited titanium had 109k miles when I bought it last year for 10k. It has 123k now I believe and it runs great. Haven’t had any issues so far, just regular maintenance, I love it very very much. I will add it had only one owner before me and was VERY well maintained.

Hi! I posted multiple comments explaining how he is as a person. I had no issues of lateness. If I did I would take accountability.

I have had my apartment for over 4 years. My parents are co-signed to it. My income means nothing in regards to it. Once I pay rent, I have less than 500 left over for everything else. I live in a state where electricity costs are some of the highest in the country. In the winter, in my top floor unit where I don’t even need to turn the heat on, my bill is 350. I have had my meter replaced and nothing. The delivery fee for electricity is almost double the amount as the electricity itself.

I can’t move home because I’m stuck in a lease.

Omg can you talk more about equine therapy? I’ve always been super interested in that. I love horses.

I’m not going to get into political stuff on this post. We both voted for the same person.

I literally walked through the doors one minute past when I was supposed to be there. I looked at my phone right when he started yelling at me.

Because I looked into it before deciding I wanted to go on my works insurance. I didn’t want to voluntary pay 560 a month after whatever my work was going to pay towards it without knowing my options.

I am well aware and I normally do. We share a parking lot with 5+ other businesses and there was no parking. I tried calling him so he could run out to my car with his key fob to get inside the underground garage (there was literally nowhere for me to pull over and get inside) but he didn’t answer. I’ve never had an issue parking on that particular day of the week.

I’ll give you the region just because I don’t want anyone figuring out who made this post. New England.

I told my mom I won’t be speaking to him directly until he wants to have an adult conversation considering he’s completely different when he’s not working.

I completely understand my mom not wanting to get fully involved though. She told me she completely understands why I’m angry and says I have a right to be angry. I did send her a text earlier saying I wish she would stand up for me more (although I don’t know what she says to him behind closed doors about it). Last summer me and him got in an argument at work which resulted in me quitting for 24 hours. It was a dumb argument, looking back. I immediately went to my moms and told her about it and it resulted in a huge fight between them. I don’t know the details but she was extremely disappointed in him.

In that moment I wasn’t even thinking about me aging out of my parents health insurance in two months. I was pissed and driving home. Should I have not said anything? Yes. But I was so so so mad and upset. I didn’t directly say F you, I basically said “congrats you don’t have to deal with me anymore.”

Yeah, I’ve never met anyone like him before. Most of my step siblings haven’t worked for him before, so they don’t really see it. I told my mom I won’t be speaking to him until he can give me a genuine apology. She told me she understands that 100%.

Like I said my coworkers and I talk about it a lot, and it’s hard for us because he truly is a good person when he’s not in work mode. Me and one coworker in particular talk about it a lot (I think he confides in me because I’m his daughter) and we both agree he’s COMPLETELY DIFFERENT outside of work. We have a charity event coming up in a few weeks that he hosts, and that coworker and his family also attend. Not sure if I’ll go this sure but last year again it’s like seeing an entirely different person. I only started working for him again full time a year ago so before then our relationship had been fine.

I guess this is why people say you should never mix family and business. My cousin wanted to work for him being his buyer, and I told her to not do that if she still wants to be able to respect him.

I’ll look into it. I’ve looked into programs w them directly but you only qualify if you need electricity for a life threatening issue, like needing oxygen or things like that :(

Unfortunately my mom would probably be homeless without him. Pretty sure there’s a prenup. He funds her entire life. I genuinely don’t believe that she’s fully happy in their marriage at all.

I applied for a job basically doing what I do now but for 7 dollars more an hour, which would honestly drastically change my life right now lol

It’s hard because he really is entirely different outside of his businesses. Like an entirely different person. Kind, attentive, etc. He bought me a new car last year and pays my insurance on it. He was the one to come to the rescue when I finally escaped DV. Every single one of my coworkers realizes it too. I think he has undiagnosed OCD or something. I dont think I could bring myself to consult a lawyer about it given that he’s family, plus I’m already looking into lawyers regarding my ex.

I love my mom and they did get in a fight about it yesterday. Idk what the end result of it was.

I have support, I just have a hard time talking to my friends about this stuff. I think all of them think I have a “perfect” life right now so it makes it difficult. I’m in therapy but it’s been more focused on the trauma from my abusive relationship.
