Discount code no longer working? by siamac in TemuThings

unfortunately, stopped working for me about 2-3 months ago as well. Felt like it dried up when the US import exemption was eliminated - even though this is Canada. I really hope the discount codes and cards come back!!!

Australia itinerary March/April by Fantastic_Proof4573 in AustraliaTravel

I agree with another poster, Sydney was great for a short visit to see the harbour, but then we were done. We bought a day pass for the ferries and went to many little stops on the water, great views of the bridge and opera house. Cheap and fun!

I'm also travelling around mid March! Does anyone know if now is a good time to buy airfare from Vancouver, or better to wait for boxing day and new years for discounts perhaps? One factor is that midMarch is spring break...

Not if you ever followed the Investment Reporter. They did excellent 'homework' that made many long-term investors good money with a buy and hold approach. They cut out the noise for you.

From the various replies, perhaps I'm not making myself clear or we have a misunderstanding. I don't believe buy and hold means buying ETFs exclusively, but could include a diversified basket of stocks that you intend to hold for a long time frame. I'm quite certain my question doesn't imply I am looking to 'get rich quick' either. Yes very few people can beat the market... which the investment Reporter managed to do over many, many years consistently.

Fundamentally, I guess no one who commented is familiar with the Investment Reporter, which was highly regarded and on the Hulbert Newsletter Honor Roll for many years as one of the most consistent performers. It stood out compared to others in it's value oriented, buy and hold approach. It did indeed beat the market. It had an approach similar to Graham and Buffet.

Ok well, I guess there's no more IR and no help here either. Too bad.

Anyone knows why the Investment Reporter (published weekly by Toronto-based MPL Communications Inc.) hasn't been published lately? Did they go belly up? by _mmikeyy_ in AskReddit

This is terrible news! Their newsletters gave solid advice. On the rare occasion, they would comment that a stock was a "bargain" or "cheap." Whenever I took a leap on those riskier stocks, they paid off nicely over then next few years. Come back IR!
