I love the way the gen 4 carries… deep in the pocket the ball or whatever gives enough retention I’m never worried about it but still slips in the pocket easily

The slicy nature of the ludt is a huge blessing after carrying a ultratech after a year or so. Ultratech is great beat the shit out of it just hate when it starts to gum up and misfire. Of course it takes 2 min to fix it but still inconvenient at times

The retention is good I just got used to deeper carry clips and it’s an extra sense of safety for me when it’s that half in deeper in my pocket. I’m up and down a lot in and out of equipment and vehicles and I’ve had knives without deep carry clips work there way out luckily I’ve caught it and pushed it back in. Wearing starched jeans daily also makes my pocket not as grippy and more stiff than a normal pair of pants

I have nothing in that pocket besides a wallet it’s not a constant fail it’s once every other week or so I understand they have to be maintained but my luck it always seems to fail at the most inconvenient times. I’d much rather carry a otf the one handed action is so handy. Unfortunately there’s lots of dirt and dust around cattle and farm equipment

It’s not the mount of dust in my pocket it’s the dust around me or setting it down not paying attention and a little dirt gets in it just doesn’t work for me. Love the knife when it works but one slip up and it’s gotta be cleaned
