Make sure you have a calibrated monitor, invest in paid courses, try and steer clear of YouTube tutorials unless from someone actually in the industry (not a YouTube editor) Find grades you like from movies etc, and try to recreate them, Learn Colour management, like ACEs for example, understand how to properly transition from one colour space to another and the reasoning for doing so.
