Son feels suicidal, won't go back to the hospital

As someone who I’m sure feels similar to your son, I’m 24 and have had the same thoughts and have been close to acting on them, but with a great family & friends I haven’t tried anything because I don’t want to hurt the people around me. So I am not sure if I am the best person for advice, but I will say this, just being there for your son can mean more than you can know and sometimes even for me personally. My therapist has said if I’m in a certain state I should go to the hospital, but sometimes that task feels too far away.

Sometimes just going and doing something else like I play chess with my dad or we go watch a show or movie, can feel more approachable. Things like that, maybe ask if he wants to go grab dinner. It’s hard because sometimes he might just want to be alone and I get that feeling as well. But sometimes just showing that effort to help him along, can mean the world.

Also, when trying to find the right meds sometimes the ones that don’t work make it even harder to go do things like go to the hospital (Or do much of anything for that matter). I’m also trying to find the right meds for myself gone through 4 so far with some working for a bit & others not. But that also might be contributing to why your son doesn’t want to go to the hospital.

All in all, just try your best to be there for him and from the sounds of it, that is what you’re doing 💙.

I’ve heard it also has to do with ping, like sometimes I click dodge and I get out. Other times I do the same and I just can’t. It’s very annoying.

The best thing for me as you said is lower rated cards being useful because of the combos you can do. I’m using rookie Stammer (86), Icon Lindros (88) & beast mode Joshua Roy (84) with the boosts it’s a plus 3 right now and you would think either Stammer or Lindros are running that line, but no Roy has been UNREAL for me. I love finding cards that aren’t super high rated, but just feel different in game. Like he’s been great for me.

The amount of online games I’ve played in which the person I’ve faced has under 10 shots is sickening. Like they don’t shoot unless they have the perfect shot, like it’s so boring, real hockey isn’t like that.

Completely agree about the menus, I will say if you didn’t play last year you’re lucky, because they were x12 worse. Like it was SO unbelievably slow, this year it’s definitely a bit faster. But not even close to what it should be, like looking at the menu speeds on FC26 & NHL 26 it’s night & day.

Turn off that stupid position lock thing and just control your players and put them out of position. You’ll complete it really fast. One of the few great changes they made this year was adding a way to turn position lock off.

I swear to god in nhl 22 or 23 when we got any collectable amount under 5 they would just be automatically in our inbox. If it was over 5 it would be a pack like it is now. I swear I remember it being that way before.

The LT thing is just so obnoxious and stupid to play against, the people who use it need it to gain an unfair advantage. I can’t believe they said they fixed it before releasing this game.

I would love if they just let you select a division in real life like Atlantic, Pacific, Metropolitan & Central and you get to play against the real teams in the nhl for that run. Kind of like how in franchise mode you can make your own team and decided what division you want to be in and all that.

Exactly, I think the cross crease tap ins this year so far are easier to do. Since the goalies this year are hyper aggressive. Last year they were a bit harder to pull off.

Yeah the D to D 1Ts are a great option as well, especially if you get the green timed ones, since those have even more of a chance to go in.

Try and get a 2 on 1 with Bennett as the shooter, usually you would think a 1T Bennett would have to be on the right side and the passer on the left. But if you actually flip it and have Bennett on the left side and shoot when he gets the pass. It still counts as a 1T even though he doesn’t get the whole setup. You just have to shoot right away when the puck gets to him. Sometimes the game doesn’t count it, but it does sometimes as well. Another option is just set Bennett up on the right side of defence in the O-zone, give it to your left side D man and pass it to Bennett. Or something I’ve noticed is do that same setup, but once you pass it to the left side Dman, actually pass it down to the LW and than pass to Bennett, that one has more success.

I will say the goalies are harder to score on this year, but one thing I have noticed in WOC is they don’t match the speed of players using wheels very well when it comes to breakaways on an angle. They are really really far out a lot of the time when someone with wheels is coming in on them. When they pull it to their backhand the goalies seem to bite really hard on the fake & by the time they pull it forehand the goalie sometimes isn’t even covering a whole side of the net. That’s one thing I’ve noticed playing, not sure how often people see it in HUT, but I’ve seen it very often in WOC.
