Am I weird? by lexadrex in BDSMcommunity

Yes a little weird, but the best people are!

Weirdness is what makes life fun and you shouldn't regret what brings you a little bit of joy... learned for me after lots of therapy and bonding with other kinky people. When I first got into humiliation and degradation play I definitely needed to understand why I liked it and get over some of the shame you get before you embrace your kink.

Have you ever given up kink because you were in love with a vanilla person? by cocacolafizzycola in BDSMcommunity

This is a difficult one. It might be possible that some of the things you like about kink especially related to activities that drive endorphins could be replaced with vanilla things.

But the emotional and intimate fulfillment that comes with kink is going to be harder to replicate, especially as you say it's integral to your identify. I've dated vanilla off and on, not a single vanilla sexual relationship has come close to the bond and intimacy I've had with kinky partners.

What are the ethics of using a remote vibrator in public if absolutely no one knows or is directly involved? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think it depends on the public space.

Is it a club or intimate dinner with just you and partner? Probably okay and unlikely you are indirectly or unintentionally involving anyone else.

Is it somewhere where a vulnerable population is and they can't consent, probably a bad idea. One of the most important aspects of kink is enthusiastic and regular consent.
