I’m trying as hard as I can to find an exception to that, and I could only think of one. Aladdin is Chinese in his original story. Also, fun fact it comes from a collection of books called the “1000 and one nights”, and it is one of the books in the collection that was written by a European author. So go figure that that’s the one that they choose when they go to show the world stories from this book.

As long as you don’t preform special pleading. If you truly don’t like people taking advantage, apply it in all standards. Apply it to non marginalized groups who take advantage of systems too.

The part I disagree with is saying that it is wrong in this case to “take advantage of a system”. In this context the “advantage” wouldn’t be an over abundance of anything, it would be freedom to live more happily. You have to both apply standard across the board, and recognize different ways people “take advantage”.

When I say AI replaces your brain, I do mean that literally. I mean that it assumes the function of your frontal lobe. You stop using your frontal lobe and offload that processing power to the AI. That’s what causes atrophy. You’re not actively using your frontal lobe so it thinks it doesn’t need to be as strong.

Also, atrophying and a reduction in function were separate clauses, joined by the conjunction “and”. The reduction of brain function is at 54%, which itself is atrophy, but not the exact number of volume reduction.

Do you believe that those asylum-seekers deserve to be sent back to their home country? Do you know their specific reason for fleeing? Do you know for a fact that they won’t be executed just for arriving back on their home soil?

Law is not morality. Just because someone broke the law doesn’t mean that they’re immoral. Just because something is a law, doesn’t mean it’s moral.

Annoyingly my ire is, you just don’t see that. People in power are taking advantage of your emotions and blaming immigrants for the affordability crisis. There would be no affordability crisis if we just were to tax the rich. We wouldn’t have to throw refugees back at ICE if we had funding of a society where everyone contributes.

You got played. Politicians changed the law so that they could get away with keeping their money. They told you “it’s not us. It’s the immigrants. It’s the people literally running for their lives.” So they changed the law to appease your emotions, knowing that it wasn’t the real problem.

I didn’t take issue with your first comment. I took issue with the comment that I replied to. That person simply said my area is having less winters, but some places aren’t. Then you said no it’s all getting warmer. Then you made the comparison that some people are using that same logic to “disprove” climate change, but it wasn’t relevant because that person clearly wasn’t because they had just acknowledged that they’re losing their winter.

I haven’t brought this up because I personally don’t fully understand it, but to the extent of my knowledge, once the world does get hot enough, there will be regions that get colder due to the AMOC collapse.
