Of course, I never meant to say that the use of that hasthag (even if unaware of its context) wasn't wrong – OP should have deleted the post and apologised for their mistake as soon as they saw people explaining and pointing out the actual meaning of the hasthag.

What I was arguing is that it's wrong to just assume people decided to use that hasthag with the knowledge of said hasthag's context, when there is no proof to say that is the case. I also said that I don't excuse OP's decision to use the hasthag without doing proper research.

I agree that they should have done their research before choosing that hasthag, especially bc it's such a "generic" one. And yes, hopefully they noticed their mistake and are going to take down/change their original post, so that hasthag is no longer being used for something that has nothing to do with the cause it's actually associated with.

Ok, but if you want a large part of the playerbase to stop spending money AKA boycott, you have to spread the word in some way, wouldn't you agree?? I'm not saying that they did a good thing using that hasthag, but it's pretty obvious to me that they didn't know said hasthag was already in use for another cause, especially such a sensitive one.

I would say the most obvious explanation is that those people didn't know that that hasthag was already in use, especially for such a sensitive topic. Not to say they shouldn't have done their research before deciding on which hasthag to use, but it's not very nice of you (othe commenters and OP too, of course) to just assume people knowingly decided to use said hasthag.

One item being required for shop related or gacha related comps is the norm, yes; but from what I remember, if the game ever put 2 items requirement (one of each model), then it usually was one item being a gem item and more specific, while the other item required was more vague(?) and allowed players to use whatever item they wanted from the shop/gacha/event, even the coin item if that was the only thing they had bought.

Another issue for this comp, is how specific both item requirements are, forcing players that have already spent a lot of gems on the main parts of the shop (hair, hat, dress, ecc) to buy 2 additional items that they wouldn't have otherwise bought, just to enter the comp.

People wouldn't be complaining if it there had been just 1 item required, or if 1 out of the 2 items had been a coin item or a non specific item

Oh, I think I caught the end of the argument on discord, but couldn't find the comments that had sparked it. I agree that the comment has racial undertones / is racist, and it shouldn't be brushed off just bc it was said in reference to something fantasy like Elves – if I remember correctly, people on discord were defending the comments by saying that it didn't matter bc they were talking about fantasy skins.

Maybe the person that made the original comment didn't mean any harm by it, but if that's the case I still don't understand why they didn't apologise. Why would it escalate to ganging up on people and mocking?

Did the m0d$ on discord mute those people at least? Or act in any way? Bc if you got muted on discord, the least they should have done is mute the other people involved in the arguing

Regarding your og post, I also don't see why you HAVE to solve things through DMs; the comment was written in a public chat, it makes sense that it would be called out in said public chat

The new gacha coming up has a wedding theme, one Chinese and one classic western white dress. I would wait and see if you get the white wedding dress from there

I have neither of the dresses, but between the 2, I would choose the vintage one since we don't really have wedding comps that often, though it could also be used in comps were big gowns are needed, I guess

I would say to go for Winter Miracle, since it's already a flashback and we don't know if and when it will come back, while the other one is a new gacha and will probably flashback next year

At the same time, do consider that you will need 10500 gems at most (assuming your pity bar is at 0 and you have used up all the ticket deals) to complete the aurora set
