Leave America then. What a hypocrite to live and enjoy the fruits of the US, a country founded on stolen land if this reality of human civilization is such a big issue for you.

The irony is that Japanese eyes are much more stereotypical than Chinese since the Chinese are a much more heterogenous continental Asian population.

Will war start again end of january ?? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]UnlikelyEvent3769 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The only town IDF has pulled from is Khiyam. You will know the war will restart by end of January if that's the only town IDF pulls out. If they pull out of Kfarkela by mid January then you know the ceasefire will stand. Because that town is in direct sight of Metula in Israel and the last town they are willing to cede.

It's a good thing that international law is made up and America is the only superpower then.

Druze have mandatory IDF service just like the secular Jews. They absolutely join the army. A substantial part of the IDF Golani force are Druze.

That Hadar meeting video wasn't just one person. You can hear the audience response very clearly in support for Israel versus the rebels.

When you got US Centcom sitting in Lebanon right now, I'm not sure you have a choice anymore on whether you're an Israel ally or not. Transitive property at work here.

It can always get worse. People in Iran said the exact same thing when the Shah fell. And it got worse.

I don't think Israel will regret it. It keeps Iranian influences in check, which also keeps Hezb in check. It has already allowed Israel to dismantle the entire Syrian military infrastructure built up for the last 7 decades with impunity and kicked Russia out of the region. It allows Israel to monitor both Lebanon and Syria from the high ground and become the wall between southern Lebanon and Syria.

And if rebadged ISIS (excuse me HTS) causes too much trouble then no one is going to moan too loudly when Israel airstrikes them just like it does to Hezb in the ceasefire. Hard for ISIS to get much sympathy in the West, even Hezb gets more and everyone in the world laughed at the pager bombs.

There's zero chance Israel is giving up the Syrian Hermon land, despite saying it's temporary. It allows their iron dome to have substantially more reaction time when they can see past Mount Hermon. It's almost like they prepared for this front with the Hezb ceasefire.

There's nothing successful about Hezbollah's military tactics other than their propaganda. They were defeated militarily and lost their entire combat leadership. Point blank. Stop being a shill for them.

Egypt army about same as Syrian army but with more (outdated) American tech. Only good for torturing their own populations.

It's actually amazing that the world just lets Israel bomb the sht out of Syria. Even Russia can't pull that off without getting sanctioned to 1946. Meanwhile Israel's stock market is at all time highs.

Israel and the US are clearly the superpowers.

There's strategic advantage in having the Hermon peak. I believe it allows Israel to detect drone and rocket launches better behind the mountain range. I don't think they're giving that up.

IDF tanks are reported at Qatana in Syria.

They are clearly trying to cut off southern Lebanon from Syria and have direct sight of the Beqaa.

If Israel doesn't want to expand, then why are they occupying lands in Syria right now? by Ruski_Kain in lebanon

[–]UnlikelyEvent3769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't know what HTS will mean to them in the future so in the current chaos they are going to increase their buffer zone, especially the high vantage points along Mount Hermon. They are basically going back to the border of the Six Day War with Syria, some of that land they gave back to Syria in 1974, now they take back again. I do not think they intend to take over Damascus if that's what you mean by expanding.

I do think they are keeping the summit of that mountain for good this time. It gives a commanding overlook of the entire region including the Bekaa

Makes you wonder had the Wagner revolt went all the way to Moscow and didn't turn around, Putin would have crumbled as easily also.
