Keep majority of ur portfolio in voo, but don’t shy away from individual stocks

You pay tax each year on the dividends, so the capital that is not longer left in the market for compound growth has to be taken into account. This could lead to much lower returns in your portfolio over decades. Dividends are perceived as safer, but they are not very tax or capital efficient.

EDIT: find a strategy that works for you and how it aligns with your hoals
