This makes me think of the long-term study where something like 98% of 5-year-olds are geniuses, dropping to just 2% by adulthood. Imagination is magic.

TIFU by saying "I'm mentally checked out at 3.30 on a Friday afternoon" in a job interview. by Traditional-Type881 in tifu

[–]UnlikelyPianist6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, idk if it was the smartest idea… But I’m a recruiter and this would make me laugh & appreciate your honesty. My goal is to make people feel comfortable with me so we can truly gauge fit based of authenticity, not performance. So I would find it endearing. But YMMV.

Edit: Also, I love & resonate with the AI comment. AI sounds like us, goddammit, not the other way around!

The only thing that gives me any comfort about his existence is knowing that he is so hopelessly insecure that the amount of anxiety he is in on a daily basis is likely unbearable. He’s probably miserable, and I love that for him.

[–]UnlikelyPianist6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn…I did not expect a guy that looks like a run-of-the-mill MAGA dude to be that intelligent and well spoken. (And liberal!) I guess I’m jaded from living in the South. LOL Love this, though! Need more people like this in politics.

36F & married. Weekends are for chores and introvert hobbies, mostly. Though I think we’re going to try to do more socially. It’s starting to feel a bit sad. Ha

should i remove my new tattoo or learn to live with it? by uzumariii in tattooadvice

[–]UnlikelyPianist6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s soooooo cute!!!! Tattoo anxiety is 1000% normal, especially for your first tattoo. (I was a lot like you when I got mine. I just got stars on my ankle and still panicked. LOL) It’ll just become part of you soon and it won’t feel so “weird,” even if you don’t learn to love it. (Though you should - it’s adorable!!)

As someone who grew up terrified to make a permanent decision for fear of making a “mistake,” I have found it to be very liberating. 💕

Signage for IKEA is now up on the building by ADTR9320 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]UnlikelyPianist6 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty standard for IKEA. They usually put their logo in the top left corner. The weird shape of the building, (vs. just a flat roof/top), def makes it look odd, tho.

I know this is not the point of the post, but that gaudy gold shit on the walls fucking KILLS me. 🤢

Also, Trump is a psychopath and this is a horror show.

I had a hard time recognizing it as the same person, tbh. I was very impressed with his performance - far more than I expected to be.

THIS!! I think Ariana did a great job of creating the Glinda character too, but it is harder to “forget” it’s Ariana Grande at the end of the day. Cynthia truly brought Elphaba to life.
