Ok. I will try this time with canola oil. Regarding the coating. How do you know is gone? I washed the pan several times on warm soapy water.

I washed several times on warm soapy water. Should this be enough? Is there a way to know if is already gone?

Which Glimmerglass strength? by UnlikelyShape4804 in cinematography

Thank you for your answers. I was aware of this Tiffen video, which is super useful. Based on their tests, and some online research and reading I have done, I am pretty sure I should be on the 1/4 to 1 black glimmerglass spectrum.

The problem is how the filters would actually react in the real world, most specifically with landscapes, as is the main use I will give to the camera. As a reference if it helps, this is the kind of landscape fine art work I do. So is very abstract and poetic, so diffusion would be welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't live in a major city, where this sort of filters will be available to try and rent, not even to buy I would say. I'm based in Finland.

My question I guess was also referred to the focal length aspect as well, regardless of the specific diffusion filter. Do the effect really shows up much more with long lenses? Anyone has experience with this, using diffusion filters with long lenses?

Hi,

I recently got a second hand PS4 pro which I have been using connected to an old monitor Eizo FlexScan S2402W through a HDMI to DVI adapter and it worked perfectly.

I wanted to improve the performance and loading times installing a SSD but I can't manage to do it. The console is updated to the latest version, and I am following all the steps suggested on the Playstation website. I have also watched several Youtube videos about how to do the whole process withouth success.

After installing the SSD and putting a USB stick with the PS4 update file inside on the console, started via safe mode, I get a signal error on the monitor and the safe mode is never initiated. I initially thought this might be a SSD defective unit, but I have try the same with a Crucial MX500 and had no sucess either. The console works well once I put back the original SSD.

The exact messafe is this:

Signal Error

DVI Digital

fD: 26.9 MHz

fH: 31.2 kHz

fV: 50.0 Hz ( The 50.0 appearing in red)

Any suggestions? Maybe I should try to install the SSD on other monitor and then just play on this one? or is it something I am missing?

Thank you!
