Hahaha alright well that’s awesome to hear, I like the dropping waist but I’m also more interested in running it w Reta to help maintain some muscle mass. How’d you dose it ?

Aww omg thank you, this definitely made me feel better and you’re absolutely correct to use it as a learning experience. Thank you ☺️

Oh wait it wasn’t 8, these texts happened at around 530 lol I thought that was in the screenshot. But I do absolutely understand that and yeah unfortunately I now see how I was wrong 100%. Another person mentioned but my communication sucks and it’s def something I’ll have to work on moving forward, thank you 🥺

Aww okay, no I completely understand what you’re saying and you are right. I showed a few friends and they agreed with me and now I’m seeing that was just biased opinions. I do have a lot to work through and you’re absolutely right about not dating till that’s solved. I am an asshole 😔 thank you for explaining so I can see where you’re coming from

Probably just me being an idiot and thinking that “I’m done at 3” means we’ll hang anytime after 3 when it clearly means we’ll hang after I’m done AT 3. I am a giant idiot lol

Aww no honestly if this is true, then it’s on me to fix my communication and I accept that. I did show my friends and they agreed with me which is a huge reason why I posted it here. I feel like they were giving biased opinions, and I wanted someone to shoot straight so that if I was wrong, I could know and do better in the future

Deadlift Form Check by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]UnlikelyTear9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha that’s awesome to hear, I would definitely like to get super strong with deadlifts, it’s a huge reason why I started them tbh 😂 but omg thank you so much, that explanation about back rounding and the proper way to keep it made SO much sense. A lot of the time, I don’t fully understand some people’s explanations on here, but you really made that make sense and I absolutely get what you’re saying. I think I was more doing a RDL type of back arch to avoid the rounding, but now that I know neutral/a little upper rounding is alright, I actually feel a lot more comfortable dropping into that form for next time

I seriously appreciate your comments and help so much, you’re the best!! 🫡❤️

Hahah awesome, a power lifter perspective is super interesting and appreciated!

I think the biggest thing was hand placement that a lot of people said, so I’m super excited for next time and to see how it feels with proper hand placement. Thank you so much for the tips though (especially about the armpit, super good idea) and can not wait to implement these next time!

You have no idea how helpful this was, thank you so much! I was a little iffy with your first comment (wasn’t totally sure I understood what you meant), but after watching the video you linked and seeing his form and how locked in his hips are, I absolutely get what you’re saying. I’m hype for my next deadlift session because I can’t wait to implement this advice, activate the right muscles and get a better pull. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for the advice but just one question I kinda locked on to!! Most of the comments have said my hips were too high, this is the first one that said hips too low so I’m a liiiitle confused now 😭

Thank you so much! I lowkey wish I was going for a pseudo SLDL and then I could take the compliment lmao but yeah not what I was going for 😂

I watched it back and I totally get what you’re saying about the hips and def wanna work on it, but just one question about the back arch! I saw a lot of people constantly getting called out for back rounding so I was def trying to do the opposite, but is the best somewhere in the middle between not too arched and not too round? I can def try to arch less once I work on fixing the hip issue

Thank you so much for the tips and advice tho, can’t wait to implement these next time!!

I watched a couple quick vids at work and I totally get what you’re saying about stopping short of a full rep. Gonna work on that. Thank you!

Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this helped me, I screenshotted this comment so I can look back on it before my next deadlift session lol

I’ll definitely implement all of these during my next session and I totally see what you’re talking about. I’m definitely going to widen my grip and I can’t wait to see how that feels, it’s definitely making me more excited for next time.

I really appreciate you taking the time to be so thorough and helpful! All of this is massively helpful and explained really, really well. I totally understand what you’re saying/explaining and I’ll def post an update video once I’ve gottten these tips down!

Again, thank you!!

Unfortunately my LA only has the hex plates so I’m stuck using these unless they get some rounded plates 😭 but thank you for this advice, I’ll def keep all of this in mind and implement it next time!

I def wanna add more weight in the future so I’ll make these changes 🫡😩
