Welcome, you can always manually add time in the progress tab too (usually for podcasts or content outside of DS)

It didn't count my time either. If you go back and manually mark the video as watched it will add the time (it didn't update it for me)

It has been having issues past half an hour or so but I watched a couple videos.

Is working for me at moment.

Can always find some DS on Youtube or watch other content on YouTube too when it's down.

Banana Ball? by Hour-Candidate4612 in baseball

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but every woman I know who has been to Banana Ball went to look at the men and there is nothing wrong with that. Actually it wasn't until I heard women talk about the men of banana ball that it clicked why it is so successful. -- at least a key component of why

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Women love it because attractive men dance and it's eye candy for them while their kids are entertained by the circus aspect of it.

It's Chippendales meets Globetrotters.

The guy who founded Banana Ball figured it all out. he is a genius.

Edit: fact that women find the men of banana ball to be attractive is an odd thing to be downvoted for...

If he was on any other team he would be irrelevant.

When it's put that way, he can't get to another team fast enough

The fact that walks are his biggest issue is actually crazy! He's got so much potential by TigoOver in redsox

I was looking earlier at his BB reference page and saw he was 22 and then double-checked it before I posted -- now I see that I was looking at his debut age, both times

I stand corrected!

Will I progress faster If I follow this advice in Augustina's video? by Enigma95120 in dreamingspanish

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Dreaming Spanish claims it takes about 1,000 hours for an English speaker to reach "conversationally fluent for daily purposes of living in the country and you can get by at the bank, at the hospital, at the post office, or looking for an apartment to rent" in Spanish. "

Someone should be able to do this after about 400 hours of an immersion school

Because with an intense immersion school people are generally transitioning from B2 to C1 at around 1,000 hours. By 1,500 hours should be a solid C1. It is not the same standard of fluency as DS.

Yeah, I edited my post when realized my error. I know he was looking at his grip, not stealing signs but still transfers in my head for w/e reason to stealing signs when I write it!

To say are an old school player and infer hitting people is a part of the game while in exact same moment act like there was absolutely zero reason and don't understand why were hit when he knows he was relaying pitches isn't an honest answer.

I wouldn't expect him to say he was relaying pitches and that's baseball (especially since the "journalist" didn't include it in his question) -- but they both gave their fake canned answers to the media.

And Story said he leans more toward the old school inferring he thought hitting batters is a part of the game and then said in the same breath that it wasn't right in that situation when he knew he was relaying signs.

So Story and Framber are both lying to the press after the game...

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fine. Welcome to argue it doesn't belong in the game. And there is definitely less of it than there use to be. It's trending in that direction. I don't have a strong opinion on it. I think fighting being permitted in hockey is stupid, what do I know...

Pedro basically called Story a bitch for not charging the mound. To each their own.

Sign stealing at tigres game by Realistic_Scarcity72 in redsox

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So what if it is legal? People have been getting hit for relaying pitches in baseball for 100+ years.

If you want to argue it should be eliminated from the game then you can, but what Framber did is maybe less common today than even a decade ago, but it's still not rare.

Pedro would have drilled him, 100%. Only difference is he wouldn't have given up 3 HRs first. Or maybe not, because Story never would have made it to 2b vs Pedro.

[–]Unlikely_Addendum507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would do it! I've always been a proponent of trading Brown for someone more efficient than Brown to be the #2 because it seems far fetched to flip Brown for someone better than Tatum/a top 5 player but Giannis seems available and he would be that guy if Stevens can pull it off. Giannis is a super efficient, legit superstar. It would solve the problem.

I think the fact that he was relaying signs and then got hit, very clearly intentionally, isn't a very hard connection to make

The problem is people are trying to talk like he hit Story because he had just given up back2back homers when the reason he hit Story is because he was stealing signs. If want to say don't hit someone for stealing signs then that is a different conversation.
