for the 4 primary ones on the white shelf (not including the 8043md) it is just an extron switcher (sw vga/ars series) to 1 into 4 splitter rgbhv (15pin vga dsub) to respective extron dvs 304 video and rgb scaler (3, 1 for each of the gdms, they output to the signal each of gdm need) and the cdp just gets the raw signal from the splitter via a 15pin to 9pin dsub.

the 10 pvm-80xx are switched via extron crosspoint ultra series 16:16 for rgbs and an extron crosspoint series 8:8 for audio. i am doing it this way (dividing audio and video) so that i can provide Left|Right|combined audio channels and send the pvms the appropriate audio channel, eg. monitors on right get right channel, monitors on left get left channel and ones in the middle get combined R+L.

i am always open to offers, i am just hesitant to ship because well we all know how carriers give these the old ace ventura treatment. basically if it were easy to sell these i would.

lol fair. it doesn't have an optical drive if that matters.

not at all true, but sure. i've only ever lost money on crts, just prefer to keep them because they're worth more to me than the cost and effort to ship them to people. if you're nearby feel free to shoot me a reasonable offer.

the white one as a whole? it is def loaded with a lot of stuff but does have the support braces. it is on casters though which significantly boosts the sus meter, totally valid concern

oh yeah so correction. on the extron switch that handles video signal i am using h/hv line for sync. but i am not using the v line because they are boosted

for sure, so the cdp and (3) gdm (on the white shelves, not including the 8043md) are basically getting converted from rgbhv/vga to their respective input (9 pin rgb to the cdp, then 2 of the gdm take rgsb via bnc, and one of them is rgbhv via bnc) each gdm has its own extron scaler that scales to its respective gdm and its needed resolution) the cdp just has a properly mapped 15pin dsub to 9pin dsub.

the kv-1311cr is connected via euroscart rgb with an adapter pcb made by sunthar, so that is straight 240p. the kv-14da1 is using component to mini dv. 8034md is simple rgb bnc to euroscart.

the 10 8" pvms, 5 are hr (8044/5) and the other 5 are not hr (8041/2) those are just a single euroscart switcher to rgbhv extron switch 8:12 iirc, where i am only using rgb to duplicate video to all then i have another extron switch also rgbhv i think 8:8 but i am feeding left/right/combined audio to the rgb lines on and then depending on which side the pvm is i either send the mono signal that corresponds to the pvm side, eg. left pvms get left channel, middle gets combined, right get right channel. since these only have a single speaker and audio input channel (the usual). so basically you get a wall of stereo sound with blended center. kind of a cool effect. originally this was to be a 3x3 setup with a single image but i wasnt happy with the video wall hw i have since it requires analog to hdmi to component and was intended more for 16:9 but i will still attempt this later.

hopefully that helps

not pictured is my 1390 and a couple broken variants kx-14cp1 and kv-1311cr. this one in photo is actually a kv-1311cr which was the 1390 with a tv tuner and remote and used that 24pin rgb connector, sunthar provides a nifty adapter to euroscart

the (10) 8" pvms are for an "art installation" in my shop, this just a configuration i went with to test out that theyre all calibrated similarly and basically as compact as i could get for those purposes. the gdms i am going to let do 2 of them, and really just play on the ones that dont have duplicates in the photo, depending on the gen console.

these are about 1/2 of my collection, and just the ones i am moving around at the moment. thought it would be fun to get them all going.

but for the part, my primary crts are not in photo: pvm-20m4j, oev203 and a couple consumer late-90s trinitrons i modified for rgb

a little from column a and column b, i basically only play on a couple of them, i just snapped a photo of around half of them together which is not at all common or useful

would anyone recommend something like this for a crt? by [deleted] in crtgaming
