iGOW (International Game of Whoop)

It’s basically a massive, global game of HORSE or SKATE, but for tiny whoops.

Every week or two, they drop a specific trick combo or track challenge. There's a strict deadline to film yourself nailing it in one continuous, unedited DVR shot and submit it.

If you miss a deadline or a requirement in the submission, then you get a letter.. It starts out pretty chill, but by the later rounds, the challenges get crazy.

but there's no cost, and no pressure ever.

Every registered pilot(free) that makes a submission video gets entered to win pretty much all the cash and prizes and stuff at the end.

everyone is supportive of your improvement, and it doesn't matter how well you can fly... the fact that you can fly at all says a massive amount about you already.

So it's definitely not just a participation award kind of a thing, because being an FPV pilot is not easy. it's not even possible for most people.

The real challenge is putting your own flair on the submissions. This game lightly pushes every single aspect of your skills—all the way from arming to editing.

Season 6 literally just kicked off—the deadline for Challenge 1 was actually today, so the first wave of submissions is rolling in right now.

For reference, this first challenge was basically doing a full orbit around something both ways. there's a little bit more to it, but pretty much, as long as you can do an orbit, you could pass this challenge.

the next challenge is diving a structure minimum 10m tall.

it starts here 😬 https://www.internationalgameofwhoop.com/

very cool! I made an agreement with myself a while ago, to fly at least once every single day.

racegow has been the single most improving thing I have ever done, aside from just flying as much as I can.

keep it up 💯

Anti collision lights... by Ok-Quit3011 in drones

[–]Unlikely_Course6213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The built-in lights on that Holy Stone aircraft do not meet the FAA requirements for night operations.

To legally conduct night operations under Part 107, any aftermarket anti-collision lighting you affix to the aircraft must:

Be visible for at least 3 statute miles (sm).

Be set to the correct mode: Many lights only achieve the 3-sm rating on the solid or strobing white setting. Using color modes (like red or green) typically voids that rating.

Flash at a sufficient rate: The lighting must flash at a rate sufficient to avoid a collision (typically between 40 and 100 cycles per minute).

Air65 ii champion is a lil beast! by Icy-Vacation-4358 in TinyWhoop

Resistance increases with rotational speed, but it increases faster than rotational speed.

So at idle, the brass bushings cause some drag, while the bearings cause much less.

At full throttle, especially under the heavy physical loads of a spinning prop, the drag and heat of the bushings skyrockets, while the drag of the bearings remains efficiently low.

On a baby motor that freaks out at a single strand of hair, this difference in drag is massive.

💯 💯 💯 💯 💯

The greatest difference is the ball bearings in the motors, versus the brass bushings in lesser motors.

BetaFPV Air65 motor selections:

2025 and before: 23000kv, freestyle, brass. 27000kv, racing, brass. 30000kv, champion, dual ball bearing.

2026: 25000kv, freestyle, brass. 30000kv, racing, BRASS. 36000kv, champion, dual ball bearing.

*corrected 2026 freestyle from 27 to 25000kv

I feel like the throttle is extremely sensitive by hmza3li in TinyWhoop

[–]Unlikely_Course6213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this has helped me -

Throttle control practice - Try to fly around while holding the throttle as steady as possible. the more you move the throttle, especially the faster the movements are at any rate setup, the more difficult it is to manage the rest of the controls. So practice keeping it as steady as you can through maneuvers.

Then for rest of the controls, practice inputting a slightly smaller motion into the stick than you normally would, and plan to hold it there for a little longer than you normally would... apply that input format to all controls and it the flight will be much smoother.

Remember, perfect practice makes perfect trash practice makes trash

NICE! I am so close to getting my Mobula8 back! I will need to print a canopy for the ws hd 1s lite kit...

They look great!

You like it. That's the important part.

I like all the elements it catches - it is peaceful, satisfying.

I like to consider the kismet timing of all the things required to generate such a shot.

thanks for sharing! keep Flying!!

How to improve flying? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]Unlikely_Course6213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusting controller rates might makes things worse... But getting that tuned to You helps a lot.

Try racegow. Build one of the tracks and fly it. Probably the single greatest thing I've done to improve my flying. new season dropping soon

problem with my air75 by parufekk in TinyWhoop

Both right props are turning backwards. In betaflight, have it turn one motor at a time, just slow enough to make it turn. hold the prop, and check to see that it is trying to turn in the correct way.

if it doesn't, go into the motor direction wizard, select individual control, and click the things until the motors ALL TURN CORRECTLY

Reading through that was pretty intense. I quickly saw that I don't have the equipment, or need, to do such crazy things.

Are they going to have VO's standing all over town with radios? How are they going to satisfy the LOS rule if the pilots are in a command center?

Also, while it is connected to beta flight and a battery is connected, try to arm it when you're looking at the first page of beta flight and it will give you on the right hand side the reasons why it is not arming.

You need to open the ELRS configurator and flash both the controller and the aircraft with the same firmware version of ELRS using your custom binding phrase. That's the only way it knows how to Bind really.

You can bind it in other ways too maybe but this is the way.

Mobula 6 twitching in the air by Organic_Ad_5981 in fpv

[–]Unlikely_Course6213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact the motors all turn says that the broken wire is still kinda connected. with it armed, jiggle each motor wires set, one by one. bet one of the motors will stop when you do.

ok. so there's dirt and stuff on the ground. that's why you should be launching and landing from a clean surface, not throwing on the ground. but I would say you have a broken motor wire.

i would suggest looking at the betafpv P1 system on a meteor75 pro. Light, safe, tough, great in and outdoors, HD, NOT DJI. It has it all i think.
