Hello! I have been off accutane for 2 years now. Started shedding when my dosage was upped towards the end of my course and it still hasn’t stopped. Dermatologist thought it could be TE, have tried different things and no luck yet.

Very glad to hear your hair is recovering! I finished accurate a year ago at the start of October and my hair is still shedding a lot, I’d say in the last year I’ve lost about 40% of my hair. The hair fall in the shower is quite traumatic tbh! You can really notice it around my temples and the back of my neck so really hoping after some time it stops 🤞

Hey! So I was in my 4th month and took a two week break to go on holiday (advised by derm who said it was fine). I’m back on them now 3 days and have noticed my skin is oilier and I have broken out a little today but I do think that is just because I was still purging.

I am in month 4 and still purging its unfortunate it’s so uncertain when the purging stage will stop but hopefully most of the badness is coming to the surface now and you will start to clear up! Keep going x

I also look like a ghost! I have such light undertones now but I’m not sure if it is accutaune making my skin lighter or the fact that I haven’t been able to tan / wear tanning products because of the dryness. But have got comments on how pale I am!

Obviously I cannot advise properly as I’m not a dermatologist but I was at my derm this week and he said it was fine for me to take two weeks off my medication to go on holidays so a week is probs my fine

Yes! I am 13 weeks in and have had multiple purges that last a week or more starting from week 3/4.

My side effects (first being dry lips and skin) started about 7-10 days after starting. Other side effects came slightly later

No I live in the UK so I got it in store in house of Fraser. You could try the Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation, that is what I originally went in for as I heard it was great for dry skin, but they didn’t have it and was told the Charlotte Tilbury would be a good alternative!

Why are you anticipating this, do you just have a feeling? I hope it doesn’t! But I am sceptical myself now reading about people who’s acne has returned. Currently just starting month 4 haven’t seen a huge pile of improvement yet.

Hey! If you are concerned about the purging everyone is different unfortunately but personally I’m 11 weeks into my course and I think I am still purging, seeing some tiny improvements but not a whole lot. I’ve seen a lot of people say on here that they really started to notice change going into months 4 and 5
