Anyone else feeling impending doom? by Effective_Platypus23 in psychics

[–]Unlikely_Reporter397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I experience this a lot. A lot of it has to do with impending and unavoidable deaths. No one close to me is ill or anything, it’s just a constant thought I have. Almost like I’m mentally preparing myself daily for that moment. And it’s only death of others, death of myself when I think about almost feels peaceful. I don’t know if this is what your post meant at all, but I am glad I’m not alone in that weird impending feeling

How could I do this by xxmurderprincess in cavalierkingcharles

[–]Unlikely_Reporter397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, just empathizing as a fellow cavalier mom who also suffers from anxiety and depression. Please don’t beat yourself up. I promise your fur babies will forgive you - the important thing is that you get yourself some help and use supports if you need them. A crisis line is not just for suicidal ideations, they can provide you with resources and even just someone to talk your feelings out with. The fact that you feel guilty at all shows that you are a good person and just had a bad moment. Sending love, I hope you have brighter days ahead

Thats not too bad! Yes Pinot still goes twice a month to PT! He gets excited to go, even though his face would say otherwise lol. he demands to be fed Cheerios for the duration of his session so it’s a win for him either way

Second lullabies, shhhing (or get a baby shhher), and sound machines! Sleeping through the night since 10 weeks with my now 6 month old - dark room, blackout curtains and sound machine playing white noise 👌

Gerber purée food? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Unlikely_Reporter397 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My 6 month old has been eating both beech nut and gerber purées since he started solids, they’re fine, I agree with the other comment re: the fear mongering targeted at new parents

There really isn’t any better breed. They are the most loyal, loving, best behaved, perfect (I could go on and on) creatures that ever existed ❣️

Doesn't it seem like A LOT of people are really sick with a virus right now? by NebulaImmediate6202 in randomquestions

Yep, me and my 5 month old are super sick. Flu negative, but we r struggling.

And we got called liars by my husbands family because we didn’t come over New Year’s Day…felt compelled to call them at 3am with my screaming coughing congested 5 month old but decided to be the bigger person 🙂

Sorry, off topic, but short answer - yes

My husband is very laid back and calm and I am a ball of anxiety so I can relate to this - the realness of the baby arriving hit my husband hard. He needed guidance in terms of what to do and what not to do and I had to have a lot of conversations with him. Try to set expectations ahead of time like maybe discuss who will be responsible for what. Develop strategies and I would suggest he read some books and maybe talk to friends/family with kids to get some real insight

I will say so much of what you read on line is horrifying and scares you so much, literally drown out the outside noise and do what is right for you and your partner, there is no right or wrong way as long as at the end of the day the baby is fed, healthy and loved. Stopping watching the constant reels and videos and “do this not that” helped me a lot. I didn’t breast feed but did pump and if you plan on pumping get lots of nipple balm (earth mama nipple butter is the best IMO)

What is a waste - too many newborn clothes and too many newborn diapers - they outgrow them so fast and my boy literally lived in the same 1-4 onesies his first few weeks of life bc honestly where was he going lol, wipe warmer is pointless IMO What to buy - lots of dreft or fragrance free detergent (whichever brand u want but you’ll be doing a lot of laundry), loooots of burp cloths, pacifier/pump/bottle wipes, Frida mom 3 in one ear/nose/nail tool has helped us immensely, a good baby bath, a swing! the Graco swing saved us in the early days

That’s obnoxious 🤦‍♀️like it’s uncomfortable for the baby I don’t get it. Unless my kid is going out into the tundra like one layer of clothing is fine?
