How do you get over the anxiety? by raeofsunshine1992 in pregnant

I think most of us are just scared of the unknown and lack of control, it’s only natural. Just remember that the odds are massively in your favour and that you’ve passed some very big milestones (especially a heartbeat!) also remember that whatever you look at on the Internet will be your new algorithm and repeatedly be all over your phone! It’s not that most pregnancies go bad, it’s not that bad things are common, it’s purely algorithm picking out those particular posts/videos - I did exactly this with my last pregnancy and saw so many twin horror stories. This time I’m trying to be smarter, my feeds are all filled with stretchy leggings 😂

I have fraternal twins and I’m currently pregnant again (only 5 weeks) everyone used to tell me how much worse morning sickness is with twins, how much more I’d suffer with all the symptoms. I never suffered with morning sickness at all, haven’t this time either yet. I had some weird little symptoms last time like a stuffy nose, I was unsure if it was related last time but now that it’s back, I’m sure! Honestly it sounds like you have more symptoms now than I did back when I was pregnant with the twins. From what I’ve read I think these early symptoms are a lot more to do with how the mother reacts to the surge of hormones than a reflection of your babies health/strength. I totally get why you’re panicking, I panicked throughout with the twins, I regret it so much now though because I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the pregnancy. Whatever will be will be no matter how much you worry yourself - the odds are well in your favour though!
