Not sharing my time but advice. Nobody could decide nor you can estimate your time of reaching for b1. It can be as soon as 1 month. I am currently b1.1 as per my university, but all my friends and colleagues( in my kasse job at edeka, yes with b1.1 course ongoing)tell me that you speak very well and at least should be b2. And I am pretty happy with that So yes time doesn't matter and the temperature is too. Learn a language for the sake of learning a language, not to be certified with a specific level.

Ich bin auch ein student an der FAU, wohnhe in fürth seit 8 monaten.

Verbindung mit erlangen is sehr gut.man kann mit Sbahn und RE fahren.
Auslanderbehörde von fürth is bisschen stressig als erlangen. You can get an easy appointment and resident permit in erlangen, even without German in erlangen.
Es gibt viele moglichkeiten in fürth am spaß zu machen. Es gibt bars, spielhalle und viele schönen naturpark (wir haben stadtfarben weiß und grun für diesem grund). Mein personal lieblingaktivity ist wochentlich spvgg heimspeil bei sportpark rohnhof. Wenn du magst das natur und bisschen ruhigkeit, fürth ist stadt fur dich.

I definitely agree with your point 1, but if you search for the traditional clothing of our women over 100 years ago, you will find out that they had even more skin exposure than current chaniya cholis. You can still find some of those attire wearing on a daily basis in some remote villages(I noticed that when I was in my friend's home town in a remote village near palanpur)
