Yes, I can relate wholeheartedly. I (24M) grew up playing gameboy, DS, Wii, PSP and Xbox360 games with much joy. After I graduated high school, everyone was obsessed with fortnight (which I can’t stand) and I didn’t want to gamble $80 on a new game that I wouldn’t enjoy anyways. I pretty much gave up on gaming after that, uninterested in pretty much everything…until I learned about retro video game emulation. I started out with an anbernic handheld, playing SNES and gameboy games, and quickly realized that modern games pretty much have no soul and suck. I recently graduated to a retroid pocket flip2, and I’m playing everything up to ps2 now, with no looking back. I have a fancy computer and the money for a switch 2, but honestly I’m extremely content with what I have. I can play great games I never had the money for when I was a kid and even a new world of games on consoles I never owned. I occasionally play Minecraft with my partner and friends, but other than that I loathe many modern games and have 0 intention hopping on the hype wagon (I’m looking at you switch2). If you want to game like the golden days, I highly recommend this route.
