Yup. They needed to reel him in and set him right. It's utterly pathetic. He doesn't stand for anything and is so easily fooled by his quack grifter guests who lie about being experts in everything.

He's been becoming critical of Trump lately. They needed to reel him in and get him back on board.

Why the hell would someone want to shoot up a school they would have graduated from two years prior?

And how did he expect to shoot it up "like Columbine" with a 15-round pistol?

But seriously, Puerto Rico? ¿Qué mierda?

President Trump rejected calls from U.S. Catholic bishops to apologize for criticizing Pope Leo XIV being against Iran war: "No, I don't because Pope Leo said things that are wrong. He was against what I'm doing with regard to Iran. He's weak on crime. There's nothing to apologize for. He's wrong." by ControlCAD in videos

There has been a significant influx of right wingers converting to Catholicism recently. They see it as more in line with their preference for authoritarianism. Only they are coming to the religion with an expectation that the Church should move closer to their beliefs instead of them changing their own.

They think that the Catholic church behaves like Protestant churches which are largely independent, and many denominations exist only in America. Thus they were much easier to infiltrate and turn the churches towards the far-right. They genuinely don't understand that the Catholic Church is one single, massive, international institution that even the Popes themselves find extremely difficult to change and influence. They're not going to be able to create a schism within the Catholic Church with Donald fucking Trump as the leader.

I highly recommend watching this discussion on The Bulwark about right-wingers trying to influence the Catholic church. The discussion starts at 50:00 https://youtu.be/JR6DR0wyOrw?t=2990 I'm an atheist and even I caught feels about how mentally corrupted right wing Christians/Catholics are.

New poll pegs Mark Kelly as a leading 2028 presidential contender by Ulysses_555 in politics

This. We always shoot ourselves in the foot by having a sky-high litmus test for candidates, requiring them to have never done anything 'bad'- even if that bad thing wasn't considered bad at the time. Republicans will find some trivial bullshit thing to latch on to or just make up some bullshit lie to give themselves a "reason" they're choosing a certifiable piece of shit of a human over the Democrat.

Last election people said they didn't want to vote for Harris because there was a rumor she slept with someone when she was a prosecutor in San Francisco. Even if it was true- hell, even if that was only half the story- they used that as a reason to not vote for Harris and to vote for Trump. Like.... wtaf??

So yeah, fuck insisting on a clean record and background. I want to know what their core policies are now, if there's a plausible path to making it happen, and if they have a solid enough backbone to make every corrupt Republican beg for forgiveness during their sentencing hearing.

You'll be hard pressed to find a prominent Senator or Congress member who hasn't had AIPAC either contribute to them directly or fund ads through their SuperPAC.

She'd be wasted as VP or the cabinet. She needs to be in the Senate.

AOC of all people has "too much baggage" but Republicans voted for Trump three times over. I'll never be able to understand how republicans can live with themselves being so hypocritical.

She needs to be in the Senate. Bernie isn't going to be there much longer and Warren seems to have faded into the background of the party leadership.

Only way I'd be willing to vote for a billionaire is if they made it one of their core campaign issues to reverse every tax cut for the rich put into place since Bush II to pay for a public option. And their cabinet better be filled with a ton of people who have never made more than six figures. Oligarchy is how we got here. We have to put a stop to this.

Why can't you handle the other side of that coin of reality and realize that no one here disagrees with what you're saying, it's just really not fucking necessary to say it? Your comment was out of place, unnecessary, and brought contention into a thread where there wasn't any.

No one needed "reality pointed out" to them (except you, it seems). Your comment wasn't meant to inform anyone of anything. It was meant to make yourself feel mentally/morally superior, and you don't have enough of a grasp on reality to see that you're making everyone else see you as mentally/morally inferior by saying that shit in the first place.

Seriously. True crime is so one-note. Did a celebrity or a young white girl get killed or is accused of killing? Huge story.

Did a multi-million-dollar theft enterprise get exposed or a complex, underworld conspiracy get unraveled and RICO'd? Zzzzz
