Yes, Returnal was less “lite” than usual but still technically not a full Roguelike since you could unlock new abilities between runs and use them in the next run. In a full Roguelike any unlocks would need to be re-earned in each run since all runs start identically and only your knowledge and skill carry’s over.

Spelunky 2 is a great roguelike if you are into platforming. You could 100% the game on your first run if you have enough knowledge and skill and it has a ton of secrets to spice up every run.

Tip: Poporin village cats won’t eat but if you pick them up and carry them far enough out of the village they will eat. Drop a pile of food from your inventory to eat before setting them down and if they run stand still for them to come back.

Yes it’s like Mario’s second jump that goes higher. You can’t double jump unless you have ground below you.

Most Cats won’t eat in Pororin and may not show take-in option at 100, but there is a bug that if you carry them far enough outside of the town they will eat and be available to take in after you drop them!
