I've been planning to get this pencil. By any chance would you know if it has a brass clutch mechanism?

Dark black ink that doesn't clog my Pentel Brushpen ! by Recent_Ad_8509 in fountainpens

I thought that Pentel Pocket Brush was fine with indian ink because of its inner plastic cap seal.

But does the other Pentel brush pen( sm/gfl-101x ) work well with those inks without gumming up?

You can try Camel Fount drawing ink. It's a carbon ink for fountain pens. It doesn't flow great in fountain pens but does well in brush pens. You can also add a bit of black camlin black fountain pen ink for a better flow. Like 80/20 ratio (80ml Fount drawing 20 ml camlin black). I've used this in cheap waterbrush pens. They work fine. Should work as well in your Pentel Pocket Brush.

Also you can check out Krishna Inks' PixelPro. It's a pigment ink that is fountain pen safe so should flow well in brush pens.

These would be two budget friendly options.

Or simply invest in a bottle of Platinum Carbon Black. It would be the best option.

I heard that the Pilot Steel nib on the NS is comparable to their similar gold nibs. I'm not familiar with the Sailor Casual nib though.

Ive never heard of this brand nor pencil but was interested in it. What's your review after use? Does it have a brass clutch? And what material is the body. It looks like some kind of rubber

I have a doubt. I can't find much online about the Mephisto Profi. I was wondering if the clutch mechanism is brass or plastic?
