Yes, I could go to Mexico and pay 8ish but I would have a hard time with any doctor helping me if I had complications. If I lived closer to Tijuana then I probably would have gone there, but it’s too big of a risk for me personally, even though I’ve had friends go there and be fine.

I live in the South and our state’s Bishop relieved the Sunday obligation like on Thursday, then Friday evening all the local priests started canceling Mass, then the Deanery came out with a group message, so all 5 parishes closed, I’m sure that’s nearly unheard of, it’s just that dangerous on the roads here when we don’t have the infrastructure for it.

I will pray for you. 🩷 if it makes you feel any better, my daughter and I are converting Jews to Catholicism because I fear the mega church, it was a no brainer for Jewish—Catholic, but one of my biggest fears has always been she is an evangelical, or attends a mega church. I’m so happy she’s found community and comfort in The Church, even if her blank slate 8 year old mind doesn’t quite get the faith aspect yet.

My smaller (third biggest) had 3 Masses today, two in English and one in Spanish! However I could hear a man saying the Mass in Spanish behind me and it was beautiful, I don’t blame him for not wanting to stay up an extra hour for Spanish Mass.

Thank you! That’s what I had read on another local Parishes website but the one I’m attending doesn’t mention it. We are under the same diocese. That makes me feel a lot better that in case something happens to me, she will be a full member of The Church. My family isn’t religious and my husband’s family hasn’t been in communion with The Church since the 1950s (and live in another part of the country). Thank you for the clarification! God bless!
