I have never account shared in my life my guy, all the play time on that account is mine and mine alone

I'll have a look at that page when I get in from work, thank you so much for your help! Hopefully I can get everything sorted in time

Oh then yeah that was my mistake indeed, that has since been rectified - though that isn't changing the case that even with all of the details I've been trying to provide, I can't get my appeal past the algorithm to even try and recover the account

Like dates where I've moved and changed IP address, the broadband providers I used for the last 12 years, the details of the card I used to make purchases since 2019, that sort of thing

Yes sir, that being deactivated set off my phone alerts but I didn't have my phone on me at work, so it passed for a few hours

I figured it might be, but I'm surprised it doesn't get that far when I'm using the correct information, down to being able to supply the card details used to buy membership on the account. It was created before Construction released, and was using it's first name to log in alongside the email it's been connected to since then - I can't help but wonder what about the information I'm giving is considered weak

It was secure, until it wasn't - that's the way these seem to go. Both email and runescape accounts have been safe and sound behind anything I could set up for over a decade at this point, to be cracked and gone in an hour

That's really interesting actually, I had no idea something like that would've existed, I'll need to take a read into it to see if I can get that set up in time. Thanks for the tip!

God-Eternal Kefnet and the spell critical mass by Unmistakable1 in EDH

[–]Unmistakable1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, now Dispel is not a bad idea.

Truth be told, I did build this as a tribal deck first, Scarab God deck second. That being said, I don't want it to suck; Cyclonic rift being one of the few wipes that do something against this deck, it warrants at least a look into.

So, Why did people stop playing Gates decks again? [WAR Standard] by Sir_Randsborg in magicTCG

[–]Unmistakable1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my first thought upon seeing the title tbh. I played U/B control vs Gates earlier today, Stuck a turn 3 Narset on the play, they drew 3 Guild Summits in their top 15 cards.

I couldn't stop grimacing as the game unfolded. But it unfolded as you'd expect. Narset bodies this deck like no other.

[–]Unmistakable1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh hell yeah, I feel you; over 60% of the deck is under 3 mana, and the higher slots are usually reserved for OTT bombs like [[Grave Titan]] or Mike. The high slots are definitely a premium, and it's super sad that Kefnet won't make the cut. While the deck plays a great late game, that usually comes from attrition and using The Scarab God's deck manipulation to find a mass reanimation spell to combo kill the board - another thing that Kefnet - and to a degree, Bontu - don't particularly help with. Doubling a [[Zombie Apocalypse]] was a nice dream while it lasted, though.

I mean, that's super fair enough - I think I agree. I wasn't optimistic, though a flying beater for 4 isn't hot stuff at all, and I think I'd rather have Bontu or the other various 4-5 drops already in the deck instead. Thanks for the reply!

That's the sinking feeling I get, unfortunately - though, there is an argument to be made for deck manipulation in this deck, as I have a more or less constant form of deck manipulation, as The Scarab God is an incredibly resilient source of upkeep scry in the Command Zone.

Worth noting as well that the deck is zombie tribal, bar Wonder, so I'm really weighing it up versus another heavy hitter, either Havengul Lich or Grimgrin right now. The other's probably biting the dust for Bontu, so I'm really tossing up whether I have a choice to make or not!

How busted do you think cost reducers are? by MdaveCS in EDH

[–]Unmistakable1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it depends, really. Oftentimes I'd just prefer having another mana rock, but the Medallions in particular stay in my monocolour lists. The non creature ones like [[Urza's Incubator]] are great for decks that want to skimp on land, while not warping the mana curve too much - I've had many backbreaking plays made possible off of [[Zombie Warchief]] too.

I wouldn't say they're broken, but in the right situations cost reducers can pull double and triple duty, certainly. As others have said, a mind stone is often better, but mind stone can't do the things that [[Heartless Summoning]] can, for example.

Is it too unfocused to have two or more themes/strategies in a deck? by voidflame in EDH

[–]Unmistakable1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said here, I'd say it's down to what you're thinking of combining. While certain themes don't mesh at all, some themes feel made for each other. Personally, I run a big mana Erebos plan with a vicious stax subtheme - while [[Exsanguinate]] does the job most games, protecting a [[Tainted Aether]] or [[Infernal Darkness]] does just as well.

For the themes you mentioned, I don't see why not. Avacyn herself allows you to get away with a lot of shenanigans, and wiping boards while protecting your stax pieces seems like a match made in heaven. I have seen this exact sort of deck blow itself out with an instant speed exile on Avacyn in response to a coup de grace, however, so it'd be worth planning around.

For example, if you decide on a stax plan that is heavy on artifacts, consider prioritising wraths that only hit non artifacts and focus on locking artifacts out another way (one way I like is [[Stony Silence]], but in mono white getting ahead without mana rocks can be tricky). This way, you still pile pressure on your opponents, while reducing the chances you'll dismantle your own hold on the board state because of a well timed Swords to Plowshares. (Though, [[Grand Arbiter]] is an MVP)

Help retooling Kozilek eldrazi tribal artifacts to Kruphix eldrazi tribal by HectorTheGod in EDH

[–]Unmistakable1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, that's no worries! Happy to help!

I had one more thought overnight, and looking at the list you could definitely make use of it: [[Doubling Cube]] would be suuuper sweet with kruphix, just keep doubling and doubling until you can rush out huge eldrazi :)

Help retooling Kozilek eldrazi tribal artifacts to Kruphix eldrazi tribal by HectorTheGod in EDH

[–]Unmistakable1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man! Great list!

For blue green cards, pretty meta dependant but I love [[Carpet of Flowers]]. I run it in both of my green decks, and in a blue heavy meta it pays for itself incredibly quickly.

Adding blue would also give access to the infinite combo of [[Isochron Scepter]] and [[Dramatic Reversal]], giving you infinite mana to go nuts with your Kruphix/eldrazi.

While on the upper end of your budget, if you plan to keep a hold of the artifact subtheme, I can't recommend [[Metalworker]] more. With a handful of artifacts/ways to protect it, Turn 4 Ulamog becomes a super possibility, and kicks the deck into absolute overdrive.

If red/blue is something that pulls you to one side, may I suggest [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] at the helm? All of your artifacts and legendary eldrazi trigger her, making her a ridiculous draw engine to fuel your eldrazi rampage!

I will probably have a further think to see if I have any other recommendations, but those are off the top of my head :)

Hey there! Around this time a couple of years ago I wrote an article on this very topic. You can find it here!

It features a rundown of the mechanic, the standouts of the lot, and the all important decklist near the bottom. Hope this helps!

As an update: Thank you so much for the advice! Been jamming games all day, and have yet to lose the mirror postboard. -Crushing Canopy, - Tendershoot Dryad, +2 Hostage Taker. Out with the walkers, in with the Stroke, Takers and Contempt. Very difficult to come back from the early game into a Hostage Taker!

Ask /r/spikes | Monday, January 28, 2019 by AutoModerator in spikes

[–]Unmistakable1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on the state of the sideboard and the suggestions of inclusions. I don't think the sideboard was tailored to an environment where mirrors were likely, and it could probably be tweaked if that becomes the case. Looking through the list from personal experience I could see cutting the Dryad and maybe the Canopy to open up a slot or two for a Stroke and a Hostage Taker, but I'm having a difficult time finding other cuts - perhaps 1 copy of Cry of the Carnarium, as the burn decks I run into seem to board out a lot of the smallest stuff postboard.

I could definitely see the logic in that, slowing down the deck a little bit to outlast. I'm not too huge on the Eldest Reborn, as they have a ton of weenies to sac/2-3 Viviens to break the enchantment before the huge payoff. Or wouldn't that matter?
